I greatly enjoyed 007 Nightfire. It is a worthy expansion to the James Bond video game series, and continues to hold Mr. Bond's high standards. The game contains 12 reasonably long levels, packed with pleanty of replay value- meaning you can play a level up to 3 or even 4 times before you actually complete it 100%. The 12 missions range from typical 1st person shooting, to rail shooters, and driving. The weapondry consists of typical machine guns, pistols, rocket launchers, shotguns, different types of grenades, and even a laser cannon. There is also a nice multiplayer in which you can play as a wide range of characters from the James Bond world. The storyline and graphics are both impressive, as is the level design and enviroments- which range from tropical islands, snowy mountain summits, cities, underwater, and even space. The game boasts the same 'style' as past Bond movies- from the diabolical villans to the bond girls- James Bond 007 Nightfire is a memorable experience for any James Bond fan.

I bought this game because my fried owned it. I bought it for myself, but quickly my sister began to like it and it has become a great brother- sister game and it is fun to play and addicting.

I first experienced playing Nightfire at my friends house many years ago. I finally decided to but it myself and am happy in doing so. My main motivation for buying the game was for its great non online multiplayer. Almost any war game and the other bond games usually have a non online multiplayer mode, but unless youu have all four players, it really is lacking. In nightfire, this problem does not exist as yo0u may add up to 6 AI bots controlled by the computer and you may edit their behavior to make them harder/easier to kill. This is very helpful when you are only playing with one friend and would like to make the game more interesting. It also allows you and your friends to play against a group of bots. The single player campaign is ok but is nothing special and at sometimes seems horrible as the AI can be kind of stupid. The plus side is that there is a lot of playback oppurtuinty as there are many unlocks available. Overall i rated this game high because it is one of the few shooting video games that allows for bots in the multiplayer mode, and the single player mode is about average.

Goldeneye. If you've ever played it, then you know all the warm, fuzzy feelings that the name brings. Ever since that N64 game, people have expected great video games from 007. For the most part, they have been disappointed. The World Is Not Enough. Tomorrow Never Dies. 007 Racing. Agent Under Fire. Under the guidance of EA, 007 never really managed to even reach the bar set by Rare all those years before. With Nightfire, EA still does not reach that bar.
But Nightfire is the closest they have ever been.
If you are even remotely familiar with James Bond, Nightfire will feel right at home. World takeover plot? Yes. Sharp-dressed-spy-who-does-no-spying? Check. Shapely women? Yessir. Martinis? Sure.
The story mode covers all of these, most at the same time. It starts out well enough, with Bond having to 'sneak into' a party in a castle. From there on, it's mostly a strict shoot-em-up, with a few bland driving levels, some on-rails shooting, blah. It's all pretty solid, if not forgettable. Standouts include a 'sniping level' that is actually really fun because it involves stealth, as well as a level that involves escaping from a hostile-infested building, which is really fun because of its total disregard for stealth. Go figure.
Anyways, the single player can be fun, but admit it. All you really want is the...
MULTIPLAYER. And, if you didn't want the multiplayer, you need to sort out your priories, because the multiplayer is (for me, at least) the best FPSing the Gamecube can offer. (And yes, Nightfire is on Xbox and PS2, but I have not tried it on either.) Although the map selection is a bit on the slim side, there are some serious classics here. There are also a plentiful amount of modes to try out on the maps. Capture the Flag. Deathmatch. Assassination. Destruction. King of the Hill. Goldeneye Strike. Fun stuff.
Four players are able to play, as well as up to six bots. (Note: one map; Ravine, does not allow bots. Just four players. Incredible map though.) The bot AI is...Adequate. There are points when the bots will get stuck in a wall, or score amazing 400 yard headshots, but for the most part, they are pretty fun opponents.
Slowdown is nonexistent in single player, but on a large map with six bots and four players, it can rear its ugly head. This is in no way a deal breaker, though. Most games run smoothly, with no hitch at all.
The only real beef I have with the multiplayer is that while there are some incredible weapons (Sentinel, AIMS-20, and others) they are all set in special 'Weapon Groups'. You know, 'Automatics', 'Pistols', 'Explosives', etc. So, I cannot have a game where, say, I have sniper rifles, trip bombs, rocket launchers, and shotguns because they are all in different weapon groups. The only way to get this is by selecting a 'random' weapon group, and getting very, very lucky. But, this is a very small qualm with an otherwise fantastic multiplayer.
So, in the end, is Nightfire worth the ten odd bucks (or less) you can get it for? In my opinion, if you enjoy FPS multiplayer, and own a console, you simply have no excuse not to own Nightfire. I can honestly say that my friends and I have put over twenty-four hours into that game, and we still play it to this day. If you still have doubts with parting with a few dollars towards this game, ask yourself this: Do you enjoy first-person-shooting? Do you have friends? If you answered yes to both of these, you owe it to yourself to purchase 'Nightfire'.

Game play is okay - good, but the it has the best multiplayer of any bond game since goldeneye for 64, plus up to 6 bots.

I absolutely love this game. The multiplayer is superb, the best of any game I've played (yes, there are some glitches: sometimes the NPC's will get stuck running in place either against a wall or halfway up a cliff, but so what? free kill!).
Beat the single-player mission mode, then play multi with a friend. Once you get good, set it to 120 kills/No time limit, random weapon set, play against 7 bots, it's just the best.
I highly recommend this to pretty much everyone.

Good 007 game, not as good as Goldeneye for the N64. One of the better 007 games todate. The storyline was ok, but the missions were short. The multiplayer is a blast though.

I love James Bond 007: NightFire, I played it with my cousin. I love multi-player game capture the flag. It has amazing graphics. I knew that I wanted to buy this game ever since I got my Gamecube.

Excellent shooter game, love Bond. Great selection of firepower and variation on missions. Always loved the 007 games style done by EA.

The Jame Bond has many good qualities. The single player was chanllenging. The multi player was also challenging.

Bond Nightfire is a great game for those looking to have fun with a few friends on the Gamecube. Even if you don't have friends over, you can still enjoy a fast-paced single player mode, or play with computer bots in multiplayer.

This game is packed with many weapons you'd find in all the Bond movies such as snipers, grenade launchers, the golden gun, and sentinels. It also includes mini tanks and helicopters. While playing single player, you unlock characters to play in multiplayer from different movies such as Oddjob, Pussy Galore, Christmas Jones, and tons more.

While the game focuses on multiplayer, you can simply play single player mode happily as well. Nightfire features cool level designs with different objectives. As you complete objectives you can play more and more missions. This is my favorite Bond game by far and I highly recommend you to buy it.

I thought the game would be fun so I purchased it. The game is fun! Item was described as in excellent condition with no scratches, but it was very scratched when I received it. Item still worked fine.

It is one of the Best Games I ever played. I think it has about a dozen levels. Not to mention the multiplayer games. On multiplayer you can have up to 4 players. On the single player games, they give you hints! There is nothing that I dislike about this game.
