Pros:
Silly, fun, rhyming words, wonderful illustrations.

Cons:
Nope...could not find one.

One of the books that my husband recently picked up at a yard sale was Jamberry. I didn t get a chance to look at it right away, but a few days later when I picked it up I was so pleased and couldn t wait to share this book with my daycare children. The Story This book has a simple rhyming story of a bear and a boy and they berries they pick. Quickberry! Quackberry! Pick me a blackberry! We see the duo in fields and in streams, riding a train and floating along in a hot air balloon. We see rabbits jamming in the berryland band and elephants skating on raspberry jam. The Illustrations The...

  Razzamatazzberry!

Pros:
Great fun. Lot's of giggly words and sounds.

Cons:
None

Of the countless board books that we received when our son was born, none has pleased him (or us!) more than "Jamberry!" My four and a half month old giggles and squeals with delight each and every time we read it to him (which is quite often!) The rhyming is fun and whimsical (silliness at its best) and has a terrific sing-song quality to it ("Quickberry/Quackberry/Pick me a blackberry!") I had never heard of this book prior to my son's birth, but now I recommend it to anyone looking for a fun way to introduce books and reading to their kids.

  Jams, Bears and Belly Laughs!
Review created: 04/10/03
by: Lark729_89 -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Children will express their love of Jamberry in belly laughs.

Cons:
Either a child will love it or not like it, no in-between.

One berry, Two berry, Pick me a berry This delightful funny silly cute ryhme book is a must for any child. I was first introduced to this unusual book by a friend who was reading it to her giggling 4-year-old granddaughter on a cold dreary early spring day. "Read it again." says Lucie to her grandma between giggles almost as silly as the book. What's the book about that's so silly? This book is about a boy, a bear and tons of berries. What inspired her to purchase this book was a visit they had taken last year to a real farm in Madill Oklahoma called Jamberry Farm. There they picked...

  A berry, beary, good book!

by: mlejeune -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Great illustrations, cute story, rhyming lines.

Cons:
none!

This book will quickly become one of your toddler's favorites if you are wise enough to add it to your bookshelf! This is a story of a little boy and his bear friend as they search for berries ripe for the picking. The bear speaks in rhyme, something most little listeners will love. He invites the little boy on a berry picking adventure--"one berry, two berry, pick me a blueberry." In addition to rhyming lines, other great learning features in this book include numbering, alliteration, and repetition. The lines of the book are musical to youngster's ears, you are sure to get some giggles at...

  What a Jam Jamboree!!
Review created: 12/03/00
by: chances_mom -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
rhyming berries!!

Cons:
none

I first bought this book 3 years ago while I was teaching 2nd grade. The children loved it during storytime. They begged and begged me to "read it again, read it again" so much that they started to memorize the words and say them along with me. As a teacher I was thrilled to see this coming from students who were learning to read new words everyday. This book has many challenging words, but presents them in such a fun way the kids were reading harder words and laughing all at the same time! Needless to say when the 5th graders came to the classroom for buddy reading time, this book was always.
