Jakers - Treasure Hunt on Raloo Farm (DVD, 2008)

this show is for kids but I enjoy it none the less. it is funny and well animated the storys remind me of the adventures I used to have with my brother and sister just using our imagination and not alot of expensive toys. maybe this will give some of the kids out there some ideas on how to have fun the same way. If you like this show check out "Sitting Ducks" a good but I think little known show.

A MUST! The characters are farm animals. Grandpa Piggley tells his grandsons of his adventures on Raloo Farm where he grew up in Ireland. Mel Brooks as the voice of the lead sheep is hilarious - especially in the episode where he thinks he lays an egg. Each of Grandpa Piggley's stories teaches the grandsons a gentle lesson in a charming Irish accent. To top it off, it's FUNNY & ENDEARING!

PBS's charming children's television series JAKERS! THE ADVENTURES OF PIGGLEY WINKS educates and entertains with a fun blend of vibrant computer animation and good old-fashioned Irish storytelling. Aimed at children ages 4-7, the series follows three barnyard animals--eight-year-old pig Piggley Winks and his best friends, Dannan the duck and Ferny the bull--as they grow up on a farm in rural Ireland. The animated segments are then followed by live-action sequences in which real children implement the life lessons being taught throughout the show. This volume includes the episode "Treasure Hunt on Raloo Farm."

As with all Jakes DVD's we love it. My 15 months really loves it too. My husbanda actually likes watching these because he wants a farm like Raloo Farm

This is a great learning movie, teaching everything from lessons on friendship, to daily life lessons for a yougster to apply in their own lives.
