I personally did not find "Jacob's ladder" to be thrilling. I found myself caught up in the story of how a man views a world in between his memories, yet, could not find myself enjoying the film. The effects were quite good for its time, but the story lacked a strong sense of mortality and grace. Without the element of intrigue, "Jacob's Ladder" failed my tastes, but may be applauded by others.
