Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door (DVD, 2007)

Introduction
The Girl Next Door by Jack Ketchum is a very realistic and disturbing show. The reason I say it is disturbing is because it is based on true events that actually took place back in 1958. The concept of this movie is brilliant in that it shows people what some children go through at the hands of monsters.
Detailed Description
This movie is about two sisters who lose their parents in a car crash and then are sent to live with their aunt who ends up being psychotic. The aunt gets the neighborhood children involved with the abuse of the older sister. They tie her up in the basement and due unimaginable things to her.
They rape her, beat her, and eventually, the aunt takes a blow torch and burns off her clitoris.
Additional Information
There is so much greusome, violent, abuse that takes place in this movie. If you have a weak heart or stomach, please dont watch.
Summary
I watched this movie because I am taking  child abuse and neglect class this term and it fit in with our shcool work. I recommend this movie because it depicts abuse which is an everyday occurance and the reality of it is enough to shock and infurriate. Read more...
