JVC KT-SR1000 is not a complete plug and play unit.

Just so anyone who is looking at this item knows :
This satellite receiver is not a complete plug and play unit. An extra adaptor must be purchased in order to hook it up to your radio. I happened to find this out after I purchased my JVC Satellite receiver.
Here are a few different kinds:
The KS-K6001 model is a car radio docking kit with a CASSETE TAPE adaptor. It can only be used in a radio with a cassette player. It also comes with an antenna.
The KS-K6002 model is a car radio docking kit with an FM MODULATOR built in. It can be used with any FM RADIO, however it may be a bit more expensive. It also comes with an antenna. Keep in mind that the KS-K6002 does not come with a connecting cord, it sends an FM signal to a certian channel on your radio, however, you can use an optional connecting cord or cassette adaptor, but they are not in the package.
The KS-K6003 model is a HOME RADIO docking kit with a Stereo Male RCA (plugs in the rear of the radio - if you have RCA inputs) to Stereo Mini-jack cable to the satellite receiver. This also comes with an home antenna.
If you are buying from a retail store or from JVC, these items can be quite expensive, however, they can be found new on ebay for a fraction of the cost.
I hope this does not deter you from purchasing this receiver. It has worked for me for a long time, and I hope that this is helpful to your satellite radio experience. (Howard Stern Rules !!!!!!!!!! Bababooey !!!!!!!!)
