I ended up buying five of these units: one for myself and each of my kids. We discovered these to be extremely easy to use, good quality product, and responsive support from JVC. Although lacking some of the features of other, more expensive models, considering the price for these refurbished units, we have no complaints. Aftermarket products are also available for these units, which still make them a bargain (such as extended life batteries and chargers, video props/chestpods, et al), provided they are purchased on eBay at less than retail. A little online research reveals they are relatively easy to repair as well, if needed. However, JVC does a good job of responding to any service problems with them.
