JAG - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2006, 6-Disc Set)

Jag has always been a favorite of mine and now I can enjoy it anytime I want.
Starts out with a 2 hour long pilot!! 21 episodes in all. This show is a must have! I just cant's wait for the other 8 seasons to come!

It has a few noteable extra features including a commentary(for the pilot), an inside look behind JAG, how the series came to be, And miltary accuracy.

You will not be disappointed with this show. A must have for your collection!

I HAVE LIKED JAG FROM THE VERY START. NOW I CAN WATCH THE 1ST SEASON AT ANYTIME I WANT. GREAT ACTORS, AND GREAT ACTING. A GREAT BUY FOR ANYONE.

The DVD is wonderful, the only thing about the purchase is that he didn't take pay pal so I had to send a money order for my purchase,which delayed my item.

JAG- Judge Advocate General, is about the Legal branch of the Armed forces.
(Military lawyers.) Sounds like it might be just another lawyers show, but not the case at all. Particularly this- the first year of the 10 year series. (1995-2005)
The first year of the show focused on the 'investigative' aspect of JAG, which is to say it was more like a Tom Clancy novel than let's say Boston Legal. Lots of action and virtually no court rooms (This changed some in the following years.)
Another change- Tracy Needham one of the stars in this first season, did not make it into season two.... Although I enjoyed her contributions, I suspect she was found a bit too doe-eyed, and compliant to her male counterpart- the excellent David James Elliot. Besides losing Tracy, and being switched from NBC- CBS) the following years featured a large ensemble cast, which gives the show a different feel.

THIS SHOW IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS I REALLY ENJOY THE SHOW THE CHARACTERS ARE GREAT I WILL ENJOYS FOR A VERY LONG TIME

JAG brought back lot of great memories of my time in the service.
I missed a lot of the episodes of the first season when they aired, and it's been wonderful to watch them at my leisure.
The DVD set has great extras and commentaries detailing a lot of what transpired behind the scenes during production.
Looking forward to the release of the other seasons.

I love JAG!!! It is a great show; was not able to review every episode during it's 10 year run; I have been watching the reruns and decided I wanted to get all 10 season. I received this order quickly and was very pleased.

MY NUMBER ONE FAVORITE SHOW OF ALL TIME. I WILL ONE DAY OWN ALL TEN SEASONS. I WAS A MILITARY BRAT AND ENJOY MILITARY SHOWS, MOVIES, AND NOVELS.

JAG is amazing, I can't stop watching it. I hope the second season comes out soon! I love the F-14s and military action in it. David James Elliot is an amazing actor. The later seasons have Catherine Bell in them and that will be awesome when they come out.

I have been an avid watcher of the JAG series since it aired on TV. It has taken awhile for it to be released on DVD, & I was thrilled to see it's final arrival.

I have always been a fan of the law and the military so for me its a good mix. The show tackled events that were appearing in the headlines to make the entire show as realistic as possible

The plots are kind of far-fetched and stupid in the first season, the recurring brass characters are buffoons, and there's way too much smarmy flirting among the male and female characters, in between lovely naval pornographic shots of surfacing submarines, missiles, and jet fighters. But it's still a fun show, the actors are all attractive, and Donald P. Bellisario was never famous for realistic stories, just fun entertainment with mostly likable characters. This gets a lot better in later seasons as the characters firm up, the chemistry starts to gel, and they build up the ensemble cast.

If you like military action, this TV series is one that needs to be added to your library. Every episode has non stop action and keeps you on the edge of your seat. I just can't say enough about this series. I highly recommend to anyone thinking about owning this series to go ahead, you will not be disappointed.

It was an excellent portrayal of what the navy was about. I doubt if a navy man could get away with some of the things Harm did, but was completly enjoyable. Any of the younger generation would love this series and I would definetly recommend it!!!!!

This program is about Military lawyers and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. The program puts lawyers in a good light. It also explains some interesting points of law.

The show is very topical and even time sensitive. Events in the show were usually only a month or two old. Some were local military problems and some were international situations working with the laws of other countries.

I always found the show interesting but did get tired of the relationship or lack thereof between Harm and Mac.

I love watching Jag, I have it on record on my TV, but I've been losing some. I like to go back and watch some of my favorite episodes, having the DVD's will make that easy now. If you like Jag and missed the first or second seasons, buy the DVD's and you can start from the beginning. Sellers were great, they've found all but seasons 3,5,&8 for me. If you know of any of those years on ebay, please let me know. Grammiejane7
