It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (DVD, Special Edition)

this is a good movie for children of all ages,from the very young to the very mature.we have watched this movie several times and it gets better each time.

"It's a very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie" has all the usual suspects: Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, Fonzie, Animal, etc., plus David Arquette, Joan Cusack, Whoopi Goldberg,the voice of Mel Brooks and others, including cameos by the cast of "Scrubs."
It is Christmas Eve and Kermit and the rest of the Muppet Theater owe quite a lot of money to Mrs. Bitterman, played by Joan Cusack. If they don't pay in full, she will reposses the theater. They put on a great show, make enough money, but Fonzie gets waylaid trying to get the money to her. He misses the deadline. How they resolve the problem with the help of devine intervention, and find out what Christmas and friends are all about, is what the rest of the film is all about.
There are the usual Muppet antics, and the interaction between live actors and puppets works well here, as in the other Muppet movies. To be honest, it isn't as good as many of the earlier ones, such as "Muppets from Space", or
The Christmas Carol", but it still is pretty good. Miss Piggy does a nice impersonation of Madona's "Santa Baby" Christmas song. And we have a good scene with the old Theater Critics that adults will remember from the TV series.
In addition, it has several entertaining special features. Inside Pepe's studio is a behind the scenes look at the making of the film. And there are some funny outakes/bloopers and deleted scenes that are pretty good as well. Rated PG ("for mild thematic elements"?!!), it is suitable for any age.
Bottom line, if you are a fan of any previous Muppet movie, you are going to enjoy this one as well. In any case, the kids will like it.

Great movie for the kids! Yes, it is a Christmas movie. But it is one of those Christmas movies that you can watch all year long. Ashanti acted really well and her voice was beautiful as usual....and I love Queen Latifah in anything she does. This is just another movie I can watch over and over again with the kids!

I wanted to buy muppet movies to watch with my grandson. I always watched them with my children and have fond memories. After watching the movie, I remember why I like muppets so much. The movie is well done and cute for so many ages. Unfortunately, my grandson is just 3 so he was a little young for this movie. But I certainly enjoyed it and I'm sure he will next year!

I ordered this DVD movie and received it in within a reasonable time. The movie was brand new still sealed in it's wraper. I am very happy with it.

A great feel good family movie! A nice simple concept that evil may seem to prevail but in the end good overcomes all; we just need to have faith and trust.
A great story to be shared with our family and friends.

This is a must for the true Muppet fan! Such a wonderful movie with all the right characters and all the huomor that they bring us. The Christmas spirit wakes to life in this movie. Buy it....

I just love the Muppets myself, and now my kids love it too. My 10 year old likes them and my 14 month old just loves all the critters. This is a must have for any Muppet lover.

Bought it for grandkids. They loved it and I enjoyed it also. Much better than some or the other Muppet Movies we have seen.

I really like this movie. I love anything the Muppets put out. This isn't my favorite of theirs though, not even my favorite of their Christmas movies. The Muppet's Christmas Carol is 10 times better in my opinion but this is a very cute,funny and smart movie for kids and grown-ups of all ages!!

We wouldn't know...we never received the movie we paid for. Currently, there is a claim open on the seller. I am very leary now to purchase anthing else from e-bay.

No Notable flaws PEHHHH!!! The case looked like crap and there were scratches all over the dvd!! This guy and a couple others have persuaded me never to buy anthing off ebay ever again!! Amazon is way better and reliable and gives you free shipping with anything over twenty dollars so hmmm crappy stuff and shipping or reliable stuff and no shipping hmmm quite the toss up aye?!!! PEHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! I bite my thumb at you!!
