I love the author, Max Lucado's, books. They are so inspiring and helpful in addressing many of life's ever-changing challenges. I would recommend his writings to anyone that is searching for uplifting and insightful help in the scriptures. He's a great Christian man, and his books portray his commitment to Christ and his use ofthe great talent God has given him in passing on the truth, in so many interesting and informative books.

I am a died in the wool Max Lucado Fan. I have so many of his books. He has a truly special relationship with Our Lord and Savior , Jesus. It is very evident in all his books. This one is no exception. He can say more in one sentence that most author's, religious or secular can say in an entire book.. He is truly being used by God. He blesses me more with each book he writes.

I purchased this book early in the year and I loved it so much I purchased additional copies for friends and family. It draws on everything we were taught, everything that we may think of ourselves and life - and then says NO - It's Not About Me - Experience a new life - read this book and rejoice.

Max Lucado writes in a conversational tone such that long after reading a chapter, I find myself remembering the thoughts he offered. Best read one chapter at a time.

This book goes against what our modern culture dictates. Looking out for number one at the expense of all else. All things truely are not about ME and if we can just get our eyes off the great "ME" life will have a deeper and much more satisfying meaning. Great book, great author.

great, encouraging readi'm loving this book so far. i'm only a few chapters into it, but the way that max lucado "paints" a picture of God and His characteristics in this book is beautiful. it's a very encouraging book for Christians who just need a refreshing view of who God is and who they are to be in Him and because of Him. and for non-Christians, it's a great book to give them a glimpse of the heart of God and how Christians are to reflect Him. it's very encouraging, yet humbling. i look forward to finishing it, and i would highly recommend it to anyone. it's definitely a bit lighter of a read, but quite enjoyable. great book for further discussion, too!

Renewed PerspectiveIn characteristic and cherished Lucado fashion, this book captures one's attention by his astute observations of human character and how ultimately unsatisfying is our quest to satisfy our desires because we do not truly understand - or believe - that our greatest satisfaction is found in pursuing God. I found it so compelling that I bought my own copy, having borrowed the one I read, and also bought the Teen edition for my 18 year old daughter.
