The Pitbull of Personal Development Gets Down and Dirty

The title of Larry Winget's book It's Called Work for a Reason: Your Success is Your Own Damn Fault stikes you in the face like a snowball on a cold winter day. The self-proclaimed "Pittbull of Personal Development" writes with all of the aggression for which the breed is known. Whether taken as a business self-help book or a textbook for business instruction, the work is informative, challenging, and well worth the read.
Winget begins the book by stating: "There will be parts of this book you won't like," and, of course, he is right! From this point in Egyptian captivity, he proceeds to take the reader on a gonzo journey through the business landscape to the Promised Land, pointing out many important landmarks along the way. His key question, "What happened to the work ethic of our parents?", resonates in a culture where what-is-the-least-I-can-do-to-get-by has become the mantra of so many employees.
Business owners, business managers, and employees will benefit from reading this highly motivational book. The section: "Larry's Short List for Getting Results" provides the primary benchmarks to impliment his advice and claim the ground he promised before the reader took the book from the shelf.
