Clarity, simplicity, and fun to read!
This wonderful first book by author John Mangiapane {will there be a second one, John?) is written without pretentious language or a sense of 'author superiority' that many older texts present. Written in plain English without adornments, the explanations and understanding of subject come alive on every page. Also this book is written by sectioning cards together (all the Ones, Twos, etc.) so that you can learn the cards by seeing their similarities and also by comparing their differences side-by-side. And what a joy - the book starts from 'Zero' and works it's way up to 'Ten', unlike many which start with the King cards and work backwards! How were you supposed to learn something from a book written in logical reverse? This book makes too much sense! According to the Library Journal (2004): 'This book should be in every library,' and I have to agree.
