Thank you Ellen for making it happen. DT
A book written with such class - and by a very classy lady. She knows her mind and was able to convey her inner most feelings in this great book. Another 'can't put down' book. Highly recommend.
I enjoyed this book by Denise Jackson because... it's from the heart, real, something people can relate to, and it's about the true meaning of life and love and what we should truly have at the heart of a marriage and/or relationship.
This book was phenomenol. I will read it again and again because of how it can change lives and marriages. I bought it because I had read someone else's book and had to have it add to my library of books and to have as a resource for the future. I would most certainly recommend it to anyone as a must read.
A 'must read'.Absolutely one of the best I've read this year! Denise Jackson wrote with passion, honesty and class.I love Alan Jackson and somehow was driven to read about Denise's story of life, tribulations and love.Couldn't put it down! I admire her strength and honesty without 'bashing' anyone.Written with a lot of heart and faith.
received in good conditiuon and on time. I love the book and the tape that was included. I had this song sung at my wedding and have been looking for the tape since thn. It should bne on o ne of his albums.
Having read all the tabloid garbage about the Jackson marriage, I bought this book to get the real scoop, and what I read/experienced was a great deal more. Denise Jackson tells the story of their/her life in such a way that I laughed, cried, empathized and cheered throughout the entire book. It's an easy read and one that you can't put down. I felt my own spirituality energized by her deep faith and what can be achieved if you 'let go and let God'. Everything in life does happen for a reason, and this book re-enforces that belief. Tara
This was the greatest book I have read in a very long time.I found it to be inspirational and all consuming.Denise opens her heart and shares the good and the bad of a marital relationship. Her intense love for God is amazing.Once you pick it up you can't put it down.I recommend this book to anyone who loves to read.
i really enjoyed reading this book it was wonderfully written. its the kind of book you just cant lay down! i am a fan of alan jackson and now i can say im a fan of denise jackson! very well written i ablosolutly loved it i would recommend this book to any one.it tells of denises love for god and jesus how prayer can help anyone to give your heart to jesus i applaud denise for writing this wonderful book!i got this book on e-bay and im very glad i won it.i had fast shipping and am very pleased with it!
I had read this book and when I found it on e-bay at such a reasonable price, I decided to bid on it. I was impressed that the CD was included with the book. It's a book that I'm sure I will read again and again. This is a book about real people, even though the author and her subject, Alan Jackson is a country singer celebrity. It offered personal information concerning their marriage and their subsequent re-marriage. It was very inspiring. I won the bid and now have the book. It was delivered as promised by the seller. Excellent condition and I received it in a very timely manner.
It is written with such honesty and integrity. It's not a tabloid-tell-all exposition of sordid details, but a very sensitive and transparent account of Denise Jackson's discovery through her separation from Alan of what a true relationship with Christ can be like. As you read it, you feel like you are her friend. Much more than I anticipated!
I like the fact that Denise is so open and honest about tthe most painful time in her life witout putting all the blame on Alan; yet the excitement in which she portrays her knowledge that this event brought her to Christ and helped her save her marriage. It is so unpretensous and down to earth.
I decided to buy this book because I admire Alan Jackson's talent and what I thought I new about his personal life. Having read it however, I have even MORE admiration for this couple. Denise Jackson offers an honest, downhome and heartfelt portrayal of her life in the shadow and spotlight of her husband's career and the toll that it once took on their marriage and her well being. They are living proof of the old adage that "MONEY DOES NOT BUY HAPPINESS", but rather that it can complicate life and one's ability to navigate the rough waters of life. This book demonstrates that only through spiritual guidance can true satisfaction, purpose, healing and forgiveness be found. This book should be REQUIRED reading to those who seek marriage counseling. It shows how 2 people CAN overcome and find each other again with God's help. GREAT STORY!!
I have been a fan of the Country Music singer Alan Jackson since he began his carreer. I found this book a peak inside the ups and downs of fame and fortune. Denise Jackson describes her past and meeting Alan Jackson throughout trying times and happy times. She describes how she found an inner strength in God and asking Him to take over...which He did. Very inspiring to read of how her faith saved her and her family.
I really love this book it is well written, about the lives of Alan Jackson's Family. I have liked Alan's songs and music for several years, and now I love the whole family. Denise has such a deep spirtual faith in God, I can really relate to her courage in keeping her family together. A wonderful book and easy to read. Alice
I bought this book because Alan Jackson has been my favorite country singer since he first became a very popular counry singer. I have followed his career for years and have all of his CD's. I wanted to read the book because Denise Jackson wrote the book about her life with Alan and turning to God in a time when she needed him most. It is a very good book and Denise tells it like it is and I so admire her for getting it all out in the open when things were bad in the marriage. I am so happy that they are the happy couple with happy children that they are today.
I loved the book. I am a long time fan of Alan Jackson, so when his wife wrote this book, it was a must have for my library. It was beautifully written, easy to read...not too far above one's head. And hard to put down when I started it. A lovely story of two people who feel in love as teenagers, and still have the same kind of love for each other in their 'middle age'. Very nicely told, with just enough details...but not too many as to expose their complete lives to the world. And it ends with Denise finding the 'love of her life' in God....beautiful book.
This is one wonderful book--makes one take a look at life and realize marriage is a give a take situation and if you truely want it to work it will no matter what---highly recommended for every married person--this is not just for famous families it can relate to anyone! Denise is one wonderful big hearted lady!
