Movie Description
Isaac Stern, arguably the greatest violinist of his generation, is perhaps even better known to the general public for his humanitarian efforts. Mr. Stern was one of the few people who made the effort to save Carnegie Hall from demolition, and he was largely responsible for saving it. Comprised of archival footage, interviews with his friends and colleagues such as Gregory Peck and Itzhak Perlman, and never-before-seen home movies, this documentary provides a penetrating look into the life of one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.
