Iron Man (Xbox 360, 2008)

This was a really fun game. It's not the all time hall of fame shooter - but I really enjoyed it. The gameplay has a learning curve, but once you get used to the controls and upgrade your equipment it gets really good. There are some really challenging difficulty levels as well. I have played other super hero movie based games in the past and Iron Man is definately the best of those. The dialogue and storyline was kinda corny... but hey - who DOESN'T want to be Iron Man? Guided missiles and catching and throwing fighter jets to the ground? Hulkbuster armor? Yeah - I'm in.

First of all, the Iron Man armor is rendered beautifully in-game. The moves, from grappling to projectile attacks, are fun to use.... However, this is where the line is drawn in positive points for this game. I have nothing negative to say about the story, as you can get what you need from the movie and play this to control the armor we love. Game play, while simplistic, has its share of issues. Not being able to get through a squadron of fighter jets, even though you tossed their missiles back to them numerous times, is frustrating. You'd think that the armor could withstand small arms fire and flak from small projectiles, but, sadly, this is not the case. These problems, as well as trying to throw you into timed situations that, honestly, don't translate very well into the gameplay, lead more toward frustration than fun. All in all, the controls are tight, the graphics decent, but the gameplay just doesn't have what it takes. Let's hope the upcoming Incredible Hulk game is the one that nails it for movie tie-in games.

For Serious fans only, this game is very difficult to control, has a long learning curve, repetitive game play. The graphics are great, but Iron Man's armor never does what you expect it to do. It constantly missing the enemy in front of you and targets the wrong enemy. You will die repeatedly while your armor is warning about something you can't even see yet. The open environments are cool to just play with, but the game fails in mission based gaming.

Bought it for my six year old. He really enjoys it. The only problem I have is getting him to STOP playing it and get away from the X Box for awhile.

Game starts pretty out intresting. After you get through the beginning it is very easy to loose intrest. It just doesnt go anywhere fast. Controls take a long time to get used to and have uncertain results. Attacks on enemies have little impact, and make it take too long to defeat them. I played for about two hours and totally lost intrest. If you can buy for $10 or $15 its worth it just to have something to kill time with, but not worth near what retailers want. You would have to be a hard-core gamer to enjoy.

The graphics on the game are very detailed. The controls are difficult to get used to in order to move Ironman the way he needs to on the screen. Most of the missions I have been on have been fairly smooth getting through, however the bosses at the end are far more difficult then the missions.

Right know I don't trut this seller. I've been charged for this Game and was supposed to have arrived by July 21st I have yet to receive thi Game called Iron Man. JWBuck

ENTERAINING AS HELL!

I don’t know what these other people are talking about. This game is fun as hell!!! I have had a blast playing it. I love it!

The game was good. Actuaaly it was for my husband and I've had no complaints about it. He's still playing and it's been awhile so that says enough for me.

The great thing about this game is that SEGA gave the rights to another company to create the game. The first level I was wondering why I bought the game, but once you get into the "flying" Ironman suit the game becomes very entertaining. I agree with the review above that at first the flying of the suit is difficult, which actually makes the game more challenging because it's not that easy. Throughout the game you continually get to improve your suit as well as get new suits unlocked from the comic book series Ironman. Overall an entertaining game that's suitable for all ages.

dislike that didn't have game booklet and it showed it in photo,
miss leading, ( but did say it wasn't included) grandson wanted game for xmas.

Zooming around and blowing up stuff does have its thrills, but that new-suit shine grows dull about halfway through the game as the difficulty spikes drastically while the level design flatlines. After that, there's just no reviving Iron Man

If you are a fan of the movie you will love the game. Nice story and smooth gameplay. Some of the controls can be nerve racking but are overlooked with all the action thrown in the game.

I bought this for my 6 yr old son. He enjoys the game very much. Not to easy and not to challenging. He loves Iron man. The voices on the game are very real sounding and sound like the real Iron Man movie.

Game is fun starting out, but gets continously more difficult. You'd have to be pretty experienced to beat this game. This is not a bloody game, but it's should be rated "Teens." Small children would only be able to get to the third level at most.

The game was pretty fun. I liked flying around and destroying stuff. They probably could have done a little more with it, but it was still good, though.

This was going to be a birthday present for my son but the seller decided to pocket the cash and not send me the game. Luckily I paid via PayPal and got my money back.

This is a alright game, bad camera views but fun, it has a ton of xbox 360 achievement points you can unlock you can get 50 points in the first mission. its kinda like superman returns but the camera is worse and the targeting system is better.It doesn't follow the movie to the key but it has some similar things about it but its not dead on. If you can pick it up for 20.00 new like i did buy it but its not worth anymore than that.

It's sad they cant money into a game with Marvel behind it. Oh well I guess. Thank god I only payed 25 bucks for the game. Could be a great game, doesnt have to be so complicated.

Average game that starts out looking pretty good but gets boring after the first few levels. I didn't like the flying controls or the fighting very mechanical.
