Iron Man (DVD, 2008, Widescreen)

I am and have been for MANY years a HUGE Robert Downey Jr. fan! I was SO excited to see him receive this role. I took my 4 year old son to see this movie as soon as it came out. I have had so much faith in him over the years, and he didn't let me down in this movie! He has so much talent and is such an amazing actor! I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!

i was surprised to find out that Iron Man was the no. 1 movie of 2008. I don't agree. Slumdog Millionaire, dark knight should be ahead of it. Iron man was a average movie just like transformers.

This film was definitely Robert Downey Jr.'s comeback. Action was great. Graphics were spot on and believable. (9yr.+)Kid friendly and an awesome movie for family night.

Awesome! I had not expected it to be so good. Robert Downey Jr does a great job of playing Tony Stark. This movie has a little comedy in it and is full of action. If you haven't seen it on the big screen yet, you have got to get this DVD. I hope you have a big TV...

contacted seller a number of times he responded twice. Said they would check into it. now they won't even respond.

It has been over 2 months and haven't received DVD. I seen the movie at the theater but I wanted to watch it at home, but to no avail.

Robert Downey Jr. gives a great performance as Iron Man in this Movie and Marvel Comics scores another hit following the SpiderMan movies.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges have outstanding roles in the movie.

Iron Man holds your attention from the beginning when Downey, captured by terrorists, dreams up "Iron Man" all the way to the end when he fights the final battle. (And don't miss the extra scene at the end of the final title sequence).

Any comic book fan will love the movie as well as anyone who loves a good action adventure movie.

Rated 5 of 5 for great acting, great directing and well done movie.

The movie was a disappointment, to me at least. I think that it's becoming a tendency for moviemakers to spend more money and effort on the trailer than on the movie itself. That attitude is starting to bite back with empty theaters. Of course the reason might be the global financial crisis. Only the future will tell...

this is an excellent movie overall. lots of action and how iron man came to be. robert downy jr. did a great job in this movie. also if you watch the end of this film and go past the credits you will find a little more about the movie along with a few other movies from comic books that there is going to be a big movie called the avengers. not a cartoon version but a live action movie. this is a big movie to get.

I have still not received my movie and it's been almost 2 weeks. I would either like a refund or the movie mailed out, I'm very upset.

I have to admit that I'm a comic book guy. I'll eventually go and either see or rent most of the comic book flick's that come out.

When I went to go watch Iron Man I knew the history of the character and I used to read some of the comic books. I wasn't expecting much and I thought the movie would be around the same caliber as Daredevil.

I must say I was blown away by this movie and by this disk. The update of the character to be captured in a "desert warfare" by "militants in caves" brings the movie into today's reality.

The choice of Downey Jr. as a billionaire playboy is also awesome. :) He brings Tony Stark that arrogant quality with the puppy dog eyes that makes it work!

The movie is great and easy to follow. We can relate to the character because they are not some kid with super powers but a guy who suddenly develops a soul and has the resources to do something about it!

The surprise ending after the credits is also awesome. :)

I first saw Iron Man at the movie theater. It was such a good movie. I knew it was one that I had to own. It was one of the best super hero movies that I have ever seen. In my humble opinion, Iron Man is a "MUST SEE" movie.... especially for those who grew up watching the cartoons and reading the comic books.

Great movie in all aspects from its from entertaining plot to its thilling action. I would definitely recommend this movie to everyone.

It was very well put together and I love it. I will watch this movie over and over. I can not wait to see the sequel.

Please keep in mind that I am not familiar with the comic and cannot therefore tell you whether or not it stayed true to the original material. As a stand-alone movie, it was fantastic! Great casting, excellent cinematography, spectacular affects, terrific storyline...I couldn't have been more pleased. My husband and I were not expecting much when we rented this movie for our oldest kids to watch. At most, we figured we could count on some really cool affects. lol Boy were we taken by surprise! The engaging characters and fast-moving plot kept us all enthralled from the get go. We're definitely planning on adding this one to our own dvd collection!

I never had a chance to review this DVD since the supplier has not sent it. I have file a complant with Paypal and am hoping to get my money back.
