  Kind of Disappointed

I am a huge Iron Chef fan, and I thought I would love this game. I was so excited about getting it, and as soon as I saw the opening, I was disappointed. It seems like not much effort was made into making this game. The mouths don't even move when the characters are talking and the movements are choppy. I can understand wanting to be dramatic or artistic, but the developers of this game were just plain lazy. To top it off, the game play is redundant. There are only a dozen or so theme ingredients, and you don't get to do your own thing. You must select 3 to 6 preset dishes and chop, slice, boil, etc. There is no creativity required to play this game, which is what I had hoped for. Overall, I am sorely disappointed. I would definitely buy an Iron Chef game in a heartbeat if a game developer would put some effort into it.

  Cute game for the kids!

I bought this for my little brother as a Christmas gift and he seems to love it! He wont stop playing it! It give you the option to choose different dishes to make and you can control how to slice and stir with your wii remote.

I personally think it could be a little more hands on though and not just "chop this, stir this".

But the idea was for the kids to like it, which they do. So if you need a cute little cooking game for children its great!

Far too easy to beat and the graphics were depressingly disappointing. I had hoped for better.

Waste of money.

  repetitive

This game is OK. It is VERY repetitive, you do the same things OVER and OVER and over again. It gets old fast. I enjoyed it the 3 times I played it. Now it will probably sit on a shelf.

  Nintendo Wii Iron Chef America
Review created: 09/09/09

I LOVE the watching the show on the Food Network, so it's only fair that I entertain the only way I can ever compete. The game is easy to follow and fun to play. Once you get to competition, you had better be ready !!!!

  Disappointing

As a Chef, and as a huge fan of Iron Chef I couldn't wait to get this game. I was so dissappointed! Like the other reviews have said. There is NO creativity, you just do the motions of chopping or stirring. It gives you instructions each time on how to do things like chop.. then after chopping 2 carrots, it has you stop. Then it even shows you how to present your plate. I would definitely NOT recommend this game!
