Synopsis It's Christmas time in Ballybucklebo, Patrick Taylor's whimsical Irish village, where Dr. Fingal O'Reilly continues to tutor his apprentice Dr. Barry Laverty in the unique ways of Irish medicine. While both O'Reilly and Laverty face the forlorn prospect of spending the holidays without a romantic partner, they are distracted by the arrival of a medical quack who begins endangering their patients with a slew of absurd home remedies. They still find time to attend to the usual coughs and sniffles and make the local social scene, including the Rugby Club Party and the children's Christmas pageant. With a number of delightful set pieces and heartwarming storylines, Taylor's yarn is sure to become a contemporary Christmas favorite.
