Invitation to Dance - Swing Dance (DVD, 2003, Includes Bonus Audio CD)

The video is very well thought out and shows the steps in very understandable detail - I would recommend this DVD to anyone that wants to learn to dance!

Good basic instruction for swing dance. Gives easy to follow instructions for Jitterbug, East Coast and West Coast Swing. You get both beginning and intermediate moves for all three of these popular dances from both the men's (lead) and women's (follow) point of view.

This instruction DVD was very easy to follow. Explanations are clear. We we able to apply the concepts immediately with good results.

This is the third Swing DVD I bought and it is the best one!!! It's easy to understand and it takes you from the basic to some great advance steps! You feel like you really learned the dance, not just the basic steps! One DVD teaches the dances, the other offers music to practice by!! Highly recommended!

This DVD is a little dated. One of the instructors is wearing acid washed jeans but I tried to get past that. His female partner does not talk or instruct and her dancing is a little robotic. She is also wearing a black short dress with black bicycle shorts underneath! It is clearly not the exciting couple on the cover. Otherwise, the instruction is mostly clear on the footwork but when they demostrate a dance there is almost no feeling in their dance movements. At the end of the DVD there is a small mock dance party. At the party there is a display of pretty good dancers. But if you ask me, there are no champion dancers showing a perfect routine. Maybe thats good though, because most of us just what to dance for a social setting and not for a showy competition. Overall I rate the DVD average.

This video is excellent. These people have a great teaching style., very east to follow and learn. I would recommend it for anybody that wants to learn swing dancing!Claudia.b

This dvd was Good, easy step by step direction to follow and alot of fun, They really broke down the steps to make it easy. I had been looking for someone to teach swing and could not find one so that is why I decided to buy and try the dvd. I'm glad i did. Thank you.

We were a little annoyed with the couple teaching these dance lessons and felt like it had been done in the 70's. Clothing was way out dated....and on top of that the couple that made the cd didn't make it look fun or interesting...pretty much a disappointment

These two instructors are such DORKS but it's an awesome instructional video. They take you through each step systematically...anyone can learn to swing dance with this DVD.

The cover is misleading. The couple on the cover are not even in the DVD. The music and the instruction are completely out dated. There are even a few errors in the instruction. I purchased this for my dance library and was extremely dissapointed.
