Invisble Invaders was a favorite movie experience as a kid in the 1960s watching Saturday afternoon Horror/Scifi movies on TV. With the cheap special effect of moving dirt to show the invisible invaders walking and then taking dead bodies as their host, the memory of this film never quite left me and I recently decided to search it out. OK, it doesn't exactly thrill as it did when I was ten, but it is worth the effort. If you like cheesy scifi from the 50s and 60s, give this combo a chance.

The movie (Journey to the Seventh Planet was just as corny as I remembered it. I had watched it as a kid on the late Saturday night "Creature Features" and laughed my butt off. Did the same thing when I watched on the DVD.

The Invisible Invaders/Journey to the Seventh Planet double feature will be a treat for cheesy horror/sci-fi fans but only those fans! Both star John Agar, both are low budget and both have certain charms. Invisible Invaders involves invisible (of course) aliens using dead bodies for their efforts toward world destruction. If we can't see them, we can't beat them! It's talky and has a lot of stock footage, but it's crisp in black and white and (as others have noted) the zombies do seem to have been an influence on the later NOTLD. Journey to the Seventh Planet has a much more original plot and is in color. Our expedition to that planet encounters a mind being that creates illusions the men must battle. It plays just like a Star Trek episode. Hokey but fun. Again, others beware but worth a look for aficionados of the genre.
