Investing for Dummies by Eric Tyson (1996, Paperback)

This book teaches you the basics, and helps guide you through basic principles. Before reading this book I had my money sitting in a 0.75% interest savings acocunt, now I'm taking in 4.75% with a money market.

It also does a great job explaining all the different types of investments, which then allows you to think about the pros and cons of each to help decide what is best for you. After reading this book, I purchased others based on the ideas set forth.

Very good book for the "newbie", and its information you can trust!

It gave me a good understanding of the "investment world" out there: stocks, bonds,real estate, small business, etc. I recomend it to people like me, who do not work in a business industries but need to learn how successfully swim in those waters.
