INVASION, USA (first VHS version)
Fairly good VHS transfer. I bought this because it, Pat Frank's novels, a couple of issues of COLLIER'S and a few other Cold War "What if" movies were an inspiration for a stage play I wrote wrote, directed and had performed at my grade school in 1955 (I was in the 6th grade.) We had a lab on stage with special effects (courtesy of our science teacher, the late John Dodd) We performed it for the entire school and later for parents in the evening. They really enjoyed it. My next play (spectacular) was HERCULES, MIGHTIEST OF THEM ALL (we had been studying mythology.) We built sets for each labor. There were musical selections and other special effects. All this before the Anglo-Italian production in widescreen starring Steve Reeves.
This was the end of my original production "career" because the high school we went to had no auditorium or stage of any kind for the 4 years we were there!
