InuYasha - Season 1 (DVD, 2004, 5 Disc Boxed Set)

I'm already a huge fan of the series, I finally decided just to buy the DVD since it comes on so late at night on adult swim.
If you're a true anime lover you'll like InuYasha and Kagome! Their relationship is at its begining in the first season, you see InuYasha soften up to her and understand he's not the one in charge. He's believes he is destined to become a full demon, and wants to follow in his father's footsteps, being the great demon that he was.
The story begins when Kagome falls into the well at the shrine she lives at in present time and ends up 500 years in the past to find InuYasha pinned to a tree with an arrow. A giant demon Miss Centipede is seeking out the sacred jewel that Kagome has in her posession, although she doesn't know it. Kagome's scent awakens InuYasha, because she is the reincarnation of Kikyo, the priestess that put the spell on InuYasha. She is forced to break the spell in order to survive the attack of Miss Centipede.
After InuYasha slays the demon he goes after Kagome and the sacred jewel. Kayede, another priestess helps Kagome by placing beads of subjigation on InuYasha, Kagome must quickly think of the word of subjigation in order to prevent the jewel from falling into his hands. She screams "Sit boy!" and Inuyasha is sent into the river below. The adventure goes on to where the jewel becomes shattered into hundreds of pieces, by Kagome's own hands no less, and the search for the shards of the Sacred Shikone Jewel begins.
InuYasha and Kagome have no idea what's ahead of them, and InuYasha is in no way intimidated by anything. First they run into a sneaky little fox demon named Shippo, he's very cute. As they tavel on they make friends with a monk named Miroku who is cursed with a black hole in his palm, and he joins them on their journey for the shards.
I think this is the ultimate fantasy show. There's always clues into the past that are linked to the present that kind of make you go hmmmm...if you're really into the series. It has everything, a love triangle, action, family fights, an evil demon Naraku that everyone is after, interesting characters, and a great story about fuedal Japan.
I would reccomend this to any fan of anime! It's a great series!

Season one of Inuyasha is top notch. I was immediately captivated by the story line and how the past affects each character. Throughout this season you are introduced to each of the main characters, and in the finale you finally get to see the entire gang slay a demon together. This season is the perfect setup for the events to follow later in the show. I highly recommend this show and this set, just make sure you try to find it for under $50. The retail price is a rip off. Ebay is usually pretty good about having cheaper sets.

I purchased this as a gift for a little girl. Have never seen this series, but am told it is very good by said litle girl.

I bought this for my 11 year old son who loves the show. He was very happy to finally get the whole season, and wants to get the rest of them as soon as possible. Great show for families to watch together.

I did not receive this item but got charged for it and have a claim pending on it now with Half.Com I contacted seller twice with no response.

I was shopping for my granddaughter, I was very pleased with the price, and I also refer to the seller's feedback. This seller had wonderful feedback, even if I want a product, and a seller has poor feefback I will not purchase. I have found excellent products on e-bay and some great sellers. When looking for something I first look for the item on e-bay, and reasonable shipping.

I like the story line, the adventure, and the comedy of this show. I did not like the fact that the show ended without and ending to the story. I like having it on box set dvd because it is way better picture quality and takes up less space. I decided to buy it at this time because it was a great price I could afford in these bad economic times.

Inuyasha season 1 has a lot of of action, comedy, and a great love story.This one of the best shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching.

there were no scratches on the discs at all which was awesome, but seller did not that there was other damage to the disc by forcfully pulling the disc out of the case holder when it was first purphased, which causes a small crease in the discs which can make it diffiuclt for the disc to play well in a dvd player, which can in time braek a dvd player and/or the disc.

DVDS were in excellent condition! I'm a true fan of InuYasha and you're like me you're working your way on getting therest of the seasons right now. I got tired of staying up super night and for me to get both seasons at oce at such a cheap price is crazy I love it!!!

I searched Hi and l;ow for a good deal on this box set and none of the stores even had used sets for under $80. I had to fight but I finally fot the set with the necklace for less than $40. That was including Shipping. Thanks ebay.
