Introductory And Intermediate Algebra by Judith A. Beecher, Marvin L. Bittinger (2006, Paperback)

I purchased this book so I could have the visual of the class material in front of me. I am taking on line classes and it was getting to be a pain in filipping back and forth between screens from showing how to do problem in book back to the exercise screen. This book has great examples and step by step instructions.

Nicely laid out; very student friendly and has calculator specific instructions; many worked examples and lots of practice problems. Could use more applications to "real life" and more visuals to help with learning processes. Graphing chapters not sequential; Inequalities chapter would work better after Linear Equations chapter. Overall a decent choice for a two-term Intro to College Algebra class, especially with the MathXL option.

I needed this textbook for a college course. The book came exactly as described and for a price I could afford.

Book could have been shipped a little better and there could have been a little more communication about shipping, but it did get her, at least i should be thankful for that, right?
