Introducing Joss Stone by Joss Stone (CD, Mar-2007, Virgin Records USA)

I must admit that I probably would never have even looked twice at this album were it not for Amy Winehouse's Back to Black and the comparisons drawn between this, that and some others (notably Lily Allen's pitiful attempt).
And yet, here I am, pleasantly surprised by this artist that I don't know much about. She has thick vocal range with deep soul and feel and I am genuinely pleased with the sound she pulls off. I will check out her other works for sure.
All the songs are at least good, but the standout is, by far, "Tell Me What We're Gonna Do Now". I haven't heard such sweet soul since Gladys Knight belted out "Midnight Train to Georgia" or Etta James crooned "At Last".

This CD is very good. Joss Stone has such a soulful voice that you won't help but like her music. I can listen to this CD straight through without skipping any tracks like i do with most others, so I would say that this CD is definitely worth buying.

Although this album contains certain tracks I enjoy, it seems to be lacking the consistent quality that Joss' first two albums presented, this one being a bit more commericial. I will continue to listen to this one, though, in hopes it may "grow" on me...

I would say that majority of the songs on the CD are pretty good. I would recommend it for other listeners.

I liked that it was brand new and still in original packing. Shipping cost were very resonable. I received this CD with just a few days. Good communication w seller.

The album is as the title says.
also - she is much beter in person / on TV than on the album.
She is abeutiful girl with a sultry voice - but has tried too hard to make a heavily hip hop / electronic influence to this album. She should stick to ballads and solo vocals with traditional instruments & backgrounds.

This is a wonderful cd.
She is part jass, part rock and part r&b.
If you like any of these kinds of music you'll really like this cd.

Great CD. I can not hear it enough. Joss Stone is an amazing artist with the sound of jazz, but her own style. There wasn't a song on it I did not like. Let one of my co-workers hear it, and he loved it also.

Good price, timely delivery, exactly as described. Very pleased Yada yada yada yada yada yada. I said all I had to say...maybe I am up to 100 characters by now.

I love the production. You get the feel of it. You understand what she's about. Almost as good as Rafael Sadiq's record. Would recommend.

My 3rd Cd from this artist. I really enjoy her music. Sort of a modern soul/ R&B style. Besides my personal listening pleasure, I used this as the background music in bridal shower I recently had. Has great personality and soul for a party!

She has such a soulful voice. This is first CD of her's that I bought. Some of the songs seem to end suddenly but I can't tell whether its the CD or the way the music is written. High recommend.

She is Hot and has a powerful soulful voice that really expresses the words of each song. This is an incredible Cd and if it wasn't for this first one I wouldn't of known how powerful of a singer she really is. I am buying more of her CD's.

I love Joss Stone's voice and her combination of jazz, blues and pop, which is why I bought her newest album without even listening to it. I like it, but it has a completely different vibe then the first two. It is very hip hop and pop and she has apparently thrown the blues ballads that I appreciated so much out the window. This is a good dance CD, but not one to jam out to for singing practice, like the other two. Also the lyrics are a bit superficial and weak- her first album that she wrote songs for was deep and fantastic- this one is a bit too pop for my style.

I love this CD. I purchased 3 of Joss Stone's CD's and this is my personal absolute favorite. Track #2 leaves me fantasing about doing a hand dance at a over 40 party and having a ball. She is young but makes music for the young and the not so young.

She is ABSOLUTELY FABACEOUS, I just love her MUSIC, I TURNED mu sister on to her music,she has that kind of SOUL voice and the accent is just a added bonus

I really liked it - This is one of her BEST yet. I can't wait for the next CD. It's amazing how many types of music Joss Stone can blend in her songs. Each one has a story to tell, not like most music out there where it’s all about making a hit song and making $$$. This artist is genuine, and really cares about what she puts out there for the public.
