Into the Blue (DVD, 2005, Widescreen)

Stunning tropical scenery and gorgeous athletic movie stars may not make a movie great, but they sure don't hurt. Jared (Paul Walker, The Fast and the Furious) dreams of finding sunken treasure and making millions, but his girlfriend Sam (Jessica Alba, Fantastic Four, Sin City) is content with their poor but idyllic life in the Bahamas. Still, when they find artifacts from a 19th century pirate ship, she gets caught up in the excitement--until they also find a crashed plane full of smuggled cocaine. Naturally, someone's going to want that cocaine back... From there, Into the Blue is a surprisingly well-plotted action movie, unpredictable in its specifics if familiar in its broader outlines. Even more pleasant, the action itself stays plausible and genuinely engaging throughout. Jared seems able to hold his breath for a preternaturally long time, but aside from that the movie is meticulous about the dangers and threats the characters face and is all the stronger for it. Add to this its unabashed ogling of Alba and Walker (both of whom are astonishing physical specimens) and you have a solid romp. Also featuring Scott Caan (Ocean's Eleven), Tyson Beckford (Biker Boyz), and Josh Brolin (Flirting With Disaster) as a slimy rival treasure hunter.

I have to admit - I watched this movie because of Jessica Alba. The story was ok - but I'd watch a movie about her making fondue. But seriously, an ok story with great scenery.

The plot is thin and predictable, the ocean is beautiful and the sharks ar great. If I had a couple of hours in which I had nothing else to do but watch this movie, I guess I would see it again but for the scenery not the movie itself. One thumb up and one thumb down. It could have been better written.

Never mind that Paul Walker and Jessica Alba heat up the screen together. Well of course they would. Never mind that they diving for sunken treasure. Never mind that they are swimming in shark infested waters. Never mind that they take some stupid friend along with them. Never mind that they got a ruthless gang of criminals chasing them threatening to kill them if they don't deliver a lost cargo of cocaine back to them within 24 hours.

Brought to you by Director, John Stockwell, this 110 minute film has everything for everyone.

The beautiful backdrop of the sea makes this movie easy on the eyes. The acting is not Academy Award but it will do. If you like the actors then its a buy.

I like movies about or under the water. This movie had adventure,romance,and thrills. It's too bad the movie was ruined by filming in widescreen. The movie was cut off in places where you wanted to see more. Maybe it was just poorly done widescreen. It's a good movie though.

Great action drama movie. Would recommend to someone. I bought this movie because I recently saw it and wanted to add it to my collection

WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO MAKE A MOVIE IN THE BAHAMAS BASICALLY WORKING ON YOUR TAN AND SWIMMING. SUPRISE SURPRISE THIS WAS ACTUALLY A GREAT MOVE. PAUL WALKER AND JESSICA ALBA DELIVERD AND ITS NOT TOO BAD ON THE EYES TO SEE ALL THOSE BATHING SUITS. GREAT UNDERWATER FOOTAGE AND JOSH BROLIN DELIVERS A GREAT PERFORMANCE AS A VILLAN SUPRISE THERE. WATCH THIS MOVIE. 4/5

I LIKED THIS MOVIE, EVEN THOUGH MY HUSBAND DIDN'T. THAT SUPRISED ME BECAUSE JESSICA ALBA IS HALF NAKED THE WHOLE MOVIE!!! WHICH IS WHY I NEVER WATCHED IT BEFORE, BUT I'M GLAD I DID. I LIKE HIDDEN TREASURE MOVIES!!!!

I bought this for my daughter. She is a fan of several of the actors and although this did not do well at the box office, it is better than made for TV.

Good movie with excellent water scenery. Not the greatest of movies but worth watching. Beginning of movie needed a little more explanation and was a little slow in getting into the meat of the theme. Overall I would rate the movie a three and half out of five.

This particular video has always been a favorite of mine. I could have purchased this video locally, but choose to use ebay instead, due to the convenience and quick delivery. I was not disappointed. Quick delivery and great transaction. Thanks.

Good movie- LOTS of suspense and TONS of action in the end!! Acting was kinda bad with Paul Walker (another Keanu Reeves from Bill & Teds) Good action from Jessica ALba and JOsh Brolin (older brother from Goonies)-Also watching the very sexy bods in the water werent bad either! Not the best movie but the scenery and the action make it worth seeing!-

Jessica Alba is just beautiful! THe scene in the movie is just out of this world. Jessica Alba is beautiful. After watching this movie, I want to go diving immediately, did I mention Jessica Alba is very beautiful? LOL
