Into the Blue 2: The Reef (DVD, 2009, Checkpoint; Sensormatic; Widescreen; Unrated)

I bought this because it stars Laura Vandervoort whom I like very much! Unfortunately unlike the Jessica Alba vehicle Laura Vandervoort didn't really spend much time in a bikini!! This movie had an excellent plot idea but never did enough with it! It could also have used a bit more action(not much but a bit). The main villian was really superb and scary but they never let her really run with that! She could have made this movie much more memorable! David Anders was very scary in the old tv series "Alias" but here while in a position to be scary his talent was wasted! The villians in this flick could have really made it better! The police in this flick are portrayed as kind of dumb-come on we all know cops are very suspicious people!! The original "Into the Blue" was suspenseful and kind of drew me in but this one I just sat back and waited more for it to end! I think these actors (all of them) were wasted in this film!
