Movie Description
Set in the old West, this 12-hour television mini-series aired on TNT in the form of six two-hour installments, each featuring a different director. Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, INTO THE WEST tells the epic story of westward expansion from the contrasting perspectives of a Native American family and a family of white settlers from the East. As both multi-generational families struggle with the new realities that western development entails, viewers are offered a glimpse into a highly dynamic era. Filmed in New Mexico and Calgary, the series places its fictional characters within the landscape of actual historical events.

    Into the west is a great Western miniseries thats even better on DVD.
    The DVD includes all 4 disks with many extra features like The cast of Into the west,The Communication gap,The making of into the west,and a music video by Sarah McLachlan.
    There are 6 Episodes total that run for a little over 9 total hours.
    Each Episode is about an hour and a half long.
    Episode 1 Wheel to the Stars.
    Episode 2 Manifest Destiny.
    Episode 3 Dreams & Schemes.
    Episode 4 Hell on Wheels.
    Episode 5 Casualties of War.
    Episode 6 Ghost Dance.

    You follow the Wheeler Family across the western Frontier over a few different generations.

    I liked the first 4 Episodes the best but there all good and I enjoyed watching the hole series.

    Beau Bridges,Graham Greene, Matthew Modine and Keri Russell.

    A must see for the Western movie Fan.
    Safe for the hole family to watch.

    The first four episodes were great! But the last two kinda draged a little. But over all it was a good show. The first four make up for the last two.
