Into the Storm by Suzanne Brockmann (2006, Hardcover)

Latest in the "Troubleshooters/ SEAL Team 16" series. Meet Lindsey Fountain, ex-cop and now part of Tom Paolatti's Troublemakers company. Lindsey is not looking for a long-term relationship, so when she meets Mark Jenkins, member of SEAL team 16 during a joint training, she gives in to a short affair. Afterall, Jenk is in lust with another woman who doesn't know he exists.
When the night of passion turns sour, the two part ways only to be thrown together in another training session in cold New Hampshire. When the training turns into a real live manhunt for a serial killer, Lindsey and Mark must get past their frustrations and work together.

This book was good, but the real action didn't happen until almost halfway through. Be advised that the serial killer does some really sick things.

On a very possitive note, it was nice to read about some of the other SEALS from previous books and soon-to-be-written books but even parts of that were frustrating.

However, the end was great, and the storyline was great too. I love this series and can't wait for the next one to be written.

Suzanne Brockmann is an auto-buy for me and I have never been disappointed. This book has it all. Action, humor, to-die-for heroes and plenty of romance. I laughed out loud at many points, and cried at others...the sign of a top-notch book, imo. I can't wait for Izzy's story!

If you are a Suzanne Brockmann fan, or even if you've never read her before, this is a must-buy!

Finally, Suz is back on track! She has brought back our beloved seals to get the job done. Our beloved Troubleshooters to join in...all through the book! Once I got through the Prologue, the book took off and man I didn't see daylight until I was done. This book has got it all: SEALS :-), suspense, mystery, action, adventure, HOT ROMANCE :-). Also I can't forget a guest appearance of our beloved Jules!!!! I have to say that maybe this is ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS THAT SHE HAS WRITTEN YET! Definitely buy the book! You won't regret it but make sure that you have cleared at least the day or night to read it at one time because you will not be able to put it down. Now, hopefully Izzy (you gotta love this guy) will be next or even Murph.

I was just introduced to Suzanne Brockmann this past spring. I could not put The Defiant Hero down. Since then I have read all the Trouble Shooters Series and am eagerly awaiting the newest one to come out in August.

Suzanne Brockmann is an excellent writer. I missed buying her newest release, "Into the Storm" when it first came out in hardcover. When I tried to find it in the stores, I was told it had been pulled off of the shelves in anticipation of the paperback version, which wasn't scheduled to come out until summer. I couldn't wait that long, so I turned to eBay and found the deal I needed. I had it in my hands in just a few days. I'm reading it for the second time now!
