Synopsis
In New York circa 1909, a deranged serial killer targets beautiful women as a means of acting out his dark repressed desires. It is a perfect case for the godfather of psychoanalysis himself, Dr. Sigmund Freud, who is on his lone visit to the United States. Though his disciple Dr. Stratham Younger does most of the actual legwork, Freud's powers of interpretation and psychological insight fuel the investigation. Historically rich and psychologically devious, THE INTERPRETATION OF MURDER is a mental mystery of the most satisfying sort.

Industry Reviews
"The novel is difficult to put down. Its iron-clad, cliffhanger-rich, shooting-script structure makes it a page turner as do the breathlessly described episodes of oran sex, "CSI"-style forensics, and cinematic violence."
(09/17/2006)

"A compelling, expertly crafted murder mystery."

    NARRATED BY KIRBY HEYBORNE Unabridged

In 1909, Dr. Sigmund Freud arrives in the U.S. to lecture at Clark University in Massachusetts. At about the same time in NYC, someone is brutally killing young women. The next day, Nora Acton barely escapes with her life, but does recall anything. Dr. Stratham Younger, turns to Dr. Freud for help. Freud delves into the crimes by sexual predators. He finds is a list of suspects who enjoy using whips, knives,& chains. An interesting historical mystery with the subject of psychoanalysis. Readers will appreciate that in the book it shows that Freud is not perfect, but does have his flaws.
