Intermediate Algebra by K. Elayn Martin-Gay (2004, Package)

I bought this for my math class. It was a requirement for my class. It came with alot of extras videos, cd roms. I like the book because at the beginning of each chapter it explains how to do the problems.. that helps when I am lost doing my homework. The solutions manual is a great way to check that you are doing it the problems right.

Algebra text book is in almost new condition for half the bookstore price! It makes no sense to get a text book at full price when you can get it here for so much less.

It took a while to get the text to me. I have used media mail before and have never had it take this long to get books from across the country, but times have changed I guess. I was a bit worried about recieving the book due to a responce about not recieving the book from another customer. Every thing turned out alright the book was delivered in good condion. I looked thrugh the book, and every thing seams to be in good condition. If I came upon another item that this seller had I would consider once again purchasing from him. I am giving an average rating because there could be improvement with shiping. Aside from that fairly good merchant. Thanks.

This book is perfect for anyone taking basic algebra courses. It is extremely informative and explains everything in great detail. This book is highly recommended.

I ordered the book over half.com, which forwarded me to e-bay site, The seller showed a picture of a book by Martin gay 4th eddition hardcover, I bought it. The book arrived but wrong item. The seller sent some kind of math manual and nothing was mantioned on the site about that. I e-mailed the seller 5 times and never got an answer. After that, I contacted e-bay and they said that I have to contact half.com custumer service. Upon contacting the custumer service three times, I got an answer saying that I have to file a claim and so I did. Beware, they let you file a claim only once for the same product. Guess what, it has been 4 months and I did not receive no appology from half.com representatives, nor do I have my book, nor do I have my money. By the way, upon receiving the wrong item, I imediately sent it back to the seller. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM E-BAY OR ITS AFFILIATES.

Good buy. I was lucky that they decided to allow this book in my college for one more semester before moving to the newly printed version of it. It saved me a lot of money. (The newer printed version is close to $100, and I got this for a fraction of the cost.) The book has all the odd answers in the back and plenty of examples throughout to help figure things out at just about whatever level of algebra you sit at.

I've taken algebra many times.. many years ago and out of all the algebra books I've gone through, none compares to the ones authored by K. Elayn Martin-Gay. She makes learning algebra much easier to comprehend. So I've bought this book to help my daughter with her algebra. I highly recommend this excellent book!

The book came quickly and the condition it came in was good enough for me, just a few bent corners but the material is all there. 30 some dollars was a great deal for a poor college kid like myself compared to the 120+ dollar one at my school's book store.
