Brilliant
I recommend this film to anyone who is under the impression that Woody Allen is a one trick pony. Nothing could be further from the truth. Interiors is a brutally dramatic story of a family in turmoil due to their mother's severe mental illness. The most stylized and considered production of any of Allen's films. It reads as an ode to Ingmar Bergman with its subtle monochrome space and muted wardrobes. Plus, absolutely stunning performances across the board. Notably, Woody Allen alumnus, Diane Keaton and Sam Waterson. Be prepared to be rattled to the bone by this furious melodramatic masterpiece and witness a testament to Woody Allen's darker, cerebral side.
