Still one of the fastest laptop CPU's out there. I was concerned it might put out too much heat and fry my motherboard, but it actually runs cooler than my stock T5800! I am VERY pleased with this new addition to my Dell XPS M1330.

Great deal, great CPU, not ES

It was a great deal, clean new top quality CPU @ reasonable price. Not ES. It is now running nice and cool in a Dell XPS M1730 @ 3GHz. Bring Win7 CPU score and memory score from 6.5(x7900) to 6.7(x9000).

  local overheating

The processor was what it claimed to be except it had an local overheating problem that would force any game your playing to either slow down drasticly or just crash. I dont believe it was my laptops fault because this exact processor is supported by it and is also an option when buying it online. to bypass this problem i set the maximum processor state to 85% its still considerably fast at 85% compaired to my old one so im fine with it.

  Intel Core 2 Extreme X9000

The reason why I decide to buy this is because it is the fastest CPU compatible for chipset PM965.

My Laptop, a Gateway P-6831FX, came with an intel core 2 duo T5450, which is very slow and it is the only downfall for some of my high quality games. now that i have the X9000, the Frames Per Second for my games should increase about 10-20 FPS, which will make a huge difference.

crysis runs around 10-20 FPS with my old CPU, now it runs at 30-45 FPS.. a huge difference.

call of duty 4 ran roughly 48-55 FPS at everything maxed, now it runs 60 FPS smooth(Same setting).
