Using buzzwords to beat them at their own game! LOL!
I have been a traveling music teacher for several decades in addition to private lesson instruction, playing in professional and community group settings and 'an ardent concert-goer'. I have an administrative credential in addition to my teaching credential, and I often work on curriculum development committees where music and the Arts are often on the budgetary chopping block and this books helps to keep our subject area 'alive'. In order to work successfully (often to their dismay) with politicians and the proverbial 'powers-that-be' you have to beat them at their own game by using their buzzwords and speaking to their area of knowledge and philosophy of education . . . so this book continues to be a great reference source . . . I keep purchasing them as I also give them to friends and colleagues who need to 'fight the good fight' . . . a must if you are an advocate of the arts in public education at the elementary level.
