Insignia NS-PDVD8 8.5 in. Portable DVD Player with Screen

I got this player so when we are on long trips, my granddaughter would be able to watch some movies, so she won't get to bored. I love the fact that it is portable , so it can also be used in any hotel or in the car. It has the adapters for in car use and house use. I also like the fact that we can use it if we go camping, because of the chargeable battery pack. I haven't really gotten a chance to use this other than to test it at home, but I'm sure it will be great. Makes a nice gift for anyone that does alot of traveling, with or without kids.

This item was by far the best I've purchased off ebay yet. This DVD player arrived in excellent condition and out performed my expectations. It's super durable, and the swivel screen allows me to show off a bit to my friends and co-workers. The battery holds a charge of about 4 hrs and it only takes 2 hours to charge. It plays in every format I've tried so far and like i said before it's super durable. The price was out of this world at 49.99 cause this player retails at 129.99. Cheapest I found was 119.99 at Amazon.com.

INITIALLY UNIT WAS VERY GOOD. AFTER 8 HOURS OF DVD AND ONE CD THE UNIT HAS HAD MAJOR PROBLEMS AND FREEZES UP AFTER PLAYING FOR LESS THEN 2 MINUTES. ONCE THAT DVD IS REMOVED AND A SECOND ONE INSERTED UNIT SAYS NO DISK FOUND. CONTACTED BY PHONE WARRENTEE AND THEY SAID SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED ON THE WEB I HAD TO USE EMAIL CUSTOMER SUPPORT. DID SO TOOK 3 DAYS FOR REPLY AND THEY ASKED ME TO DO THINGS I HAD ALREADT DONE AND HAD DESCRIBED IN MY EMAIL TO THEM. NO SECOND REPLY YET. I DO NOT LIKIE THIS RUNAROUND AN WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THEM WITH THIS QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE

the guy i bought it from was great so nothing against him. the player played for about 5 weeks and then could only tell me there was "no disc". this was not true and i tried everything to fix it. worthless. i looked at some posts online and found out that just about everybody that has this player has some kind of irreversable system error within a few months of purchase. nuts. i replaced it with one from best buy and they too told me that it was their most returned player. wish i bought it there so i could return it. oh well hope i help you, the next guy or gal

My husband love it. I got it so he could watch movies while on his deployment to Iraq and he love it.

The Portable Player didn't work and did not come with the csbles that were to come with it. Seller did refund my money without any problem.

never received it was taken off ebay and was refunded my money thru pay pal.. was a scam and was so happy that ebay barred them before they had a chance to get anyone else.

Operation Good .. takes a little manuvering to operate as desire Understood it played Ipod unable to do so

I HAD AN OLDER MODEL OF THIS ITEM.IT DID NOT LAST LONG EVEN THOUGH I TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF IT. THIS ONE HAS CORRECTED ALL THE THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE ABOUT THE OLDER MODEL.

IT'S GREAT FOR TRAVELING, WHEN SOMEONE ELSE IS DRIVING.

I COULDN'T BELIEVE I GOT IT FOR 80% OF THE RETAIL PRICE STILL BEING SOLD AT BEST BUY.

I WISH I COULD FIND AN INSTRUCTION MANUAL, I HAVE SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT A FEW THINGS AND I HAVE TO JUST TRY TO FIGURE THEM OUT BY TRIAL AND ERROR

brand new...my daughter loves it...travels good in the car. Like the swivel screen and the screen and picture,sound, and overall performance is great. Well worth the money.

i have the portable dvd player that uses this particular battery,but i needed another one due to the fact that on my travels i don't always have time to recharge(i'm usually on the bus for a couple of days).the battery has about 3 hour movie play time,which is o.k.(wish it could be at least 4 hours) and 4.5 hour music plat time.its good not great but what is now a days.excellent. not wanting to spend another $100.00 or so on a new factory battery this was just a no brainer.i highly recommend this product and the player it plugs into.

We actually own 3 of these players and just gave one to my niece who is in college. I absolutely love the feel, picture and sound of this portable player. 3 headphone jacks lets both my boys watch a movie with me without disrupting my husband on car trips. Absolutely the best player out there.

I like all the products I purchase from ebay,
I wouldn't use the word dislike because every time I purchased anything and there is a problem, all I do is complain and they take care of it except only on one occasion that I lost my money because ebay didn't pay attention nor do what they were suppose to do to keep people like me. But I didn't care because I still have to shop @ the least.I buy whatever I buy because I love them

the transaction had to be cancelled because the dvd player wouldnt work. the seller checked it before mailing it and refunded the money without me even asking. Very professional company. i will definately so business again with them if they have anything i need. i wish i could get the dvd player but this transaction went as well as could be withouth it thanks

This is the best of all 8.5" portable DVD players.
GOOD: It has a rubberized coating to prevent scratches and is water resistant.
It is easily cleaned with soapy water.
The laser model is more reliable than many.
It has a great stereo sound system with reverb.
Picture quality is excellent.
It has all of the control buttons that you would need.
Bad: This model has a defect with the screen cutoff switch, but is easily
remedied, if you know how.
You must clean immediately if something is spilled on it or the acids
will eat away the rubber coating.

This portable dvd player has it all, including a remote and 2 ports for earplugs . I coulden't be more satisfied

I am very happy with the quality. Great picture and sound. I love that it is very slim when closed. I could not be happier with this purchase.

I liked saving the money if I purchased new from Best Buy. I waited a month before I received the DVD player which I thought was too long.

The keyboard controls never works :( just with the external control, but it`s ok for use such a dvd player back up! Nice screen & sound!
