I have bought 3 of these 10" Insignia DVD players. They are fingerprint and moisture resistant. It also includes 3 headphone jacks and it folds flat for lap use. They include all the necessary extras and the battery life is above average compared to other brands. The only draw back I have found from using them for also a year and a half is that you can't control the volume by the remote. You can do lots of other commands with it though. I would recommend this 10.2" player to all who want a larger screen player. I will buy more of these Best Buy DVD players.

I purchased the Insignia IS-PDVD10 10.2 in. Portable DVD Player to use in my vehicles for kids when we travel. The Insignia IS-PDVD10 10.2 in. Portable DVD Player has a good sized viewing screen (easily shared by two viewers),great sound, and nice picture. I chose the Insignia IS-PDVD10 10.2 in. Portable DVD Player primarily because of the larger sized screen AND it has 2 head-phone jacks which come in handy when driving in a vehicle or plane. No comment on battery usage or running time for battery. Personally I used a car converter box in my vehicle and just plugged the unit into the converter box to run off electric - I find this easier than worrying whether the battery will have enough charge to make the entire ride. The dvd player controls are easy to use/access -came with a handy remote too. Great item to have for long car rides - keeps the kids busy. I drive a truck for a living, and write science fiction on the side. My job doesnt always include a lot of free time. I was trying to find a LCD TV/DVD combo that I could mount on the wall in front of our treadmill, but they were more $$ than I cared to spend. Then I saw these at a Best Buy, I bought mine via eBay = much cheaper! The treadmill has a place to hold a book (who can read while walking?), I use the book holder to hold my Insignia, now I can watch a DVD while exercising. The unit has everything you need included, gives a terrific picture in standard or letterbox formats, with controls even a trucker can figure out. I gave it a Good rating vs Excellent due to two items; 1) the dvd player is a little noisy (don't worry - the speakers easily blanket the sound), and 2) the volume buttons are small, next to each other, and on the side so you have to hunt for them. Once you've got it adj its okay, but movies are at different sound levels. The remote helps with this, and has a nice cubby hole it fits into when not in use.
I'm happy with it, but wish the volume buttons were easier to find.

This dvd player that my dad bought for me is so awsome. I like the wayit spins and you can still push plat and every thing like that. I like how the outside and inside fells like very soft. The remote is nice to have. The headphones holes are nice to have 3 because now me and my frind can watch the same movie on the same dvd player. I like the size because now I can see the screen better.My dad didn't like the sound that much because the sound box 'cause it is so small and he likes big ones but thats all.

I like the product very much. It works perfectly for what I purchased it for. I wanted it to use as a way to show friends my vacation photos that I have put on CD's instead of having to carry around a large photo album. The pictures are bigger and brighter to view and people can't touch your photos with their hands and smudge them. The last vacation my wife and I took through the state of West Virginia in September, we took 220 pictures. Quite a few to have to lug around to show people.

Easy to operate. My 86 year old dad can operate it. That's why I purchased another one for him. He didn't have to relearn. Thank you!

I give this player a GOOD rating because these players are priced nicely for the quality they offer. The 10" offers the same quality as the 8.5" but just larger. The overall quality is very nice. There are some design issues on the casings. IE: The "MONITOR CLOSED" SWITCH will stick sometimes if push too hard.
I, myself, am pleased with these players.

Player looks good and works great. Built a tent for our grandson and he watched movies and loved it.

A great device for use in my work shop...many of todays repair manuals are on DVD and this player, with its swivel screen, allows me to use it most anywhere. Good volume control allows for use in a noisy shop. So far, it has held up well to abuse of shop use.

By purchasing a used machine, I saved over 60%. This machine was sold without a power supply, that seemed to keep the bidding low. I had foun the needed power supply by another seller on Ebay for about $12 shipped. I got a great bargin. This worked out so well, I bought a second unit to keep in the Suburban.

The product was defective, but the RMA was handled in a very professional manner by the seller. I originally decided to buy the Insignia IS-PDVD 10 Portable DVD Player because of the features it had, as well as the 10.2" screen. I will probably buy a new one in the near future.
