Innocent in Death by Nora Roberts (2007)

As usual, I enjoyed reading another book ih the J.D.Robb "Death" series. I won't go into particulars except to say that if you've enjoyed the prior books, you'll also enjoy this one. I guess this series would be enjoyed mostly by women. They are based on the crime solving escapades of a female, maverick N.Y.C. detective,Eve Dallas, in the year 2059. She happens to be married to one of the world's wealthiest men, and he just happens to worship the ground she walks on. The two of them had terrible childhoods, characterized by the worst kind of child abuse. So it's not surprising they have found a wonderful comfort in one another. The futuristic slant is fun, and I think Nora Roberts(J.D.Robb)might be right on target with some of her descriptions of that futuristic life. Be prepared though for Eve's raw language, and the fairly descriptive sex. But I always wanted to be a cop(got close though!)and this sort of gives me an outlet. Plus, I like this character a lot, in spite of her mouth!!

If you like J.D. Robb's (a.k.a. Nora Roberts) Eve Dallas crime series, you will enjoy this book. I couldn't put it down from start to finish! I find her stories fast-moving, well-written, and consistently engaging throughout, with charachters that grow during each book so you feel they are friends you know yet want to learn more about. Great book.

This is rated as one of the best. I am looking forward to read it. I have read most of her works, and find her as one of the best writers in my opinion.

I bought this book because I liked some of the others and set out on a mission to collect all the books in hardback. Whether the book was good or not, but come on people this is Nora Roberts is any of her books bad? I think not. Anyways this book took such an amazing twist 2/3s into the book that who I thought had committed the crime wasn't the person at all. And who did was completely mind boggling. I strongly recommend this book.

I'm a huge fan of J.D. Robb books - have read the entire series - and this one is as good as the rest.

Keeps you captivated from the first - any one of Nora Roberts' books, writing as Robb, is great - Don't miss it.

Once again I'm lost in a great suspense novel with characters that keep growing and changing while keeping the foundation strong.
Wonderful book, fast paced, and the love between the different characters stays solid.
This was a very haunting story as it's about a child. That is always hard to read about. But it was handled well and I couldn't put it down, read it in one day.

This book is only average even dull in places. There are 2 story lines; the murder and of Course Eve Dallas' low esteem issues when it comes to Roarke. Has JD Robb run out of excitement? Although this book is just average JD Robb fans have to read it even though you may find it less compelling than all of the ones that have gone before (except Born In Death--it is only average too).

Always anticipate new JD Robb books. Love the characters and the story build. I'm never dissappointed.

Her storys are always good. I enjoy reading her. I have all her books. I bought it because it was cheaper on ebay than at a store.

This book, like the other books in the series, has the same structure as the others. A murder happens and Lt. Dallas is investigating, trying to get to the truth, most of the books have surprise endings, and pretty good ones, this one lacked that. I knew who the killer was from the beginning. Its to bad that it was predictable, because the others were a lot harder to figure out. There was a more interesting story that was going on, but it was not played out as much as it could have been. It was totally out of character on the part of Lt. Dallas, who was made to seem as unsure of herself, and the jealous type. Other then that, it was pretty good. I have read better books in the series.

Nora Roberts did it again. This book had all the elements to keep me reading into the night. This book lets us get to know the characters a little more is and still see Dallas as a kick butt cop.

I paid for the book but i never got it. i had to go through pay pal to get my money back. the seller had a good rating and that was why i bidded on it, but i won't be doing it again.

Ilove everything about this book. I could hardly wait for this latest in the "In Death" series to become available, so I could add it to the other 23 Eve Dallas mysteries in my library. Like all the books in this series, this one has all the characters I've become familiar with, has a compelling theme and is so well-written, it pulls you right into the lives of Lieutenant Eve Dallas and her fascinating husband, Roarke. Although this series is set in the future, it's completely believable and kept me riveted to the very end. I'll admit there are times when I find Nora Roberts' description of the victims a bit too graphic, but that only proves her talent for putting the reader right in the middle of the crime scene. And, after all, that's what murder mysteries are all about. I'm already looking forward to her next offering. Bravo!

I've enjoyed all of Nora Roberts books. The "In Death" series is no exception. In this book, Roberts touches on the insecurities of Eve and Roarke and leaves you thinking. The bond between them proves stronger than anything else and that is inspiring to see--even in a book!

My wife has read all the in death series by Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. If all were purchased at stores, the total cost of all of them, would be out of sight. We purchased 90 percent of them on EBAY and saved a bundle of money.The best place to shop for GREAT DEALS is EBAY> L.R>H>

As always, this book is another great read by J. D. Robb/Nora Roberts. I don't even have to read what the book is about to buy it if it is part of the In Death series. I see that it's been published is for sale and I'm there to buy it!! I especially like the interaction between Eve and Roarke in this book. If you're a reader of this series you know Roarke is always involved in Eve's cases and there is always some bit of their personal relationship in every book. I think this book showed another dimension of their relationship. It shows that even though they have everything they could possibly want and such as strong love/relationship, there are still problems. The interaction between Eve and Roarke when Eve is jealous of an old girlfriend of Roarke's is something an average, everyday reader can connect with.

If you're not already an avid reader of J. D. Robb/Nora Roberts, pick up this book! It's a great way to become a fan, rapidly.
