The Fixx - Ink

INK , the first step into the 1990's for this 80's powerhouse band was well done, and shines a new light on the band, and how talented they were, to be able to compose, perform, and generally show true artistry with the changes they made to their signature sound ! The Fixx shows they are quite capable of breaking away from the more known stylings of albums like "Reach the Beach" and "Phantoms" . This album finds the Fixx stepping into a new decade , and a new sound ! True Fixx fans will consider this a pivotal point in the bands career, as this was the timeframe when the music industry itself was trying to pull away from 80's power bands and familiar names from the decade which is so underrated by most in the industry . The pop single "How much is Enough?" could have easily been written for music reviewers who did their best to play this release down as a "confused, stumbling band trying to find a sound" , but true fans will recognize the familiar vocal stylings of Cy Curnin , and the ever present guitar stylings this band made their own from the first release to their present day compilations ! Ink , is just one more facet of this truly great jewel of a band !
