I was trying to pigeon hole K.D. Lang and her music... and kept missing the mark until I remembered an old label... and it is Torch Song Singer... Her voice if perfect, she has such emotional depth and it can bring you to compassionate tears for her longing... and the joys of her happiness... I would recommend to anyone..

I bought this CD after hearing an incredible surround 5.1 mix of Constant Craving. That song is incredible with various layers and of course the 3-part harmonies. I was only vaguely familiar with KD's work.
Since the rest of the CD is much more "country" and less Rock and Roll, I admit to some disapointment. She has an incredible voice and I love Constant Craving! So I will rate it based on that song only!
I guess I need to do some research to see if she has other songs like that one - I am off to Pandora to explore!

Maybe it is just me, but with the exception of this one song (Constant Craving) I didn't find much to like on this CD. I know she had recorded much better music than this. If I had it to do over I'd save my money and just download the one song instead of buying the entire CD.

killer vocalK.D. Lang always seems to be under the radar as a musician, but take a listen again to this heartbreaker - she's got some sweet vocals. A real treat to listen to - you won't regret it.

Ingenue - Lang, k.d. (CD 1992)Great CD !! I've been a fan of k.d. Lang for many, many years. I think this cd continues to showcase her fanominal voice. She makes singing sound effortless. It's a little slow paced, but just enough snappy songs to keep you interested.
I would recommend this cd to people who appreciate a great singing voice with awesome control. You either lover her or hate her. I love her voice! Give it a try!
