
Fabulous book!!

I like this book because the first time I was introduced to the IF (inflammatory rating) was on the website Nutrtiondata.com. I didn't understand why farmed salmon was bad for you but wild caught was good for you. Why cooked onions were more inflammatory than raw and why strawberries were great but bananas were bad. I strongly believe in the Inflammatory diet and did before I read this book but many things I took on blind faith. Now I understand the science behind the diet and why things we felt all along were good for you are actually inflammmatory such as chicken. Farmed chicken is grain fed and here is where the problem lies. Same for farmed salmon. Their diet is alot of grain instead of shrimp and it drastically changes their Omega 3/6 ratio. Fabulous book. Gives a chart of IF rating of 1600 foods and many more at Nutritiondata.com.
