Bill Watterson put the best of his talent and humor into every cartoon he writes, draws, and brings each character to life with thier own color and amazingly funny or quirky personnality. His work should be one of those things you pass down to your kids so they can laugh and see what good cartooning is and enjoy his work as you have. If you are in the process of collecting his work you should skip: the indispensible, the authoritative and the essential
calvin and hobbes they are reprints of cartoons in previous books. just look for the small print on the covers bottom for which books the comics are from. if there isn't a statue dedicated to Bill Watterson somewhere there should be. Zeno Reagan

I like the problem-free shipping and i love the great condition the book was in.i decided to buy it because I had the books once but lost them, so I wanted to relive some good childhood memories.

What is there not to like about an imp acting well beyound his years to entertain himself (and us)with daydreaming of the highest calibre. It is taking Snoopy's Red Baron to the ultimate fantasy. Of course, having a grandson who is Calvin incarnate makes the books even more fun.

Bought this book for my 7yr old son's birthday. He reads it for hours. I'm sure some of the words are too big for him and some of the humor is over his head but it still cracks him up. He even just likes looking at the pictures. Calvin and Hobbes is classic. I enjoy the book as much as my children.
