I really enjoy "fishing" with this game! I also like the option to have a girl fisherman. The graphics are of course not as up to date but that is because it is a later model game. At the time that this first came out I'm sure it was very impressive. I bought this game because I still enjoy my old school 64. I think that all-in-all it's a great game for someone who enjoys that kind of thing like I do.

Pros:
THIS GAME GETS YOUR BLOOD PUMPIN

Cons:
NONE

Nintendo 64 owners unable to hit the lakes for authentic bass fishing may take interest in Take 2 Interactive's virtual re-creation of the sport. The design of Bass Hunter 64 makes it easy to pick up and play, but there are enough options to keep it from feeling overly simple. This may please inexperienced fishermen, but veterans of the sport will scoff at the limited simulation. The best example of this design strategy is the somewhat small selection of rods, reels and fishing line. While adequate enough for fishing rookies, bass hunting experts will be disappointed. The strongest allure of..

Pros:
Keeps the hubby Fishing inside the house

Cons:
Addicting!

My husband is an avid Bass fisherman! I was at my video store and saw this game! I thought great.... If I rent this he can still go fishing.. just do it at home... He played once and then had to go to work! After i put my kids to sleep, I tried to play it once. My once turned into all night long. This game is awesome. You have to decide where to fish, what line test, what bait you want to use. You fish tournaments and earn prize money to buy new lures or even a cool Ranger Boat (yes I earned enough points for the cool faster boat) This game is great! I am not that good of a Fisher-woman...

Pros:
fishing

Cons:
Not very exciting

Ok so i bought this game for my husband who is kind of trapped indoors because of the cold right now. He loves to fish so i thought it would be a great game to get him. Well in my opinion it's an ok game but not as exciting as it should be. It is an interesting game somewhat slow at points but i guess that is like fishing which is what this game is about. He likes it but i was expecting a little more excitement with it. I would recommend that a fisherman try it out before buying it to see if its what he/she wants.

Pros:
Ultra realistic fish behavior, In-game Pro assist system.

Cons:
Takes patience to learn how to do it well.

Number of players: 1 player How the game works: Most of us have been fishing once or twice and we either fell in love with it or decided to take up a different leisure sport, like gaming for example. But what if I tell you there's a new way to fish, one way that doesn't involve getting your face sun-burned or losing half of your day while sitting on a muddy bank and looking at the other guy's stringer - just about exceeding his limit for the day? Well there is a new way to fish! It's called Bass Hunter 64 and it's a fishing simulation that dares to borrow on the wisdom of some of the great...
