Import Tuner Challenge (Xbox 360, 2006)

I've been a fan of Genki's Tokyo Xtreme Racer series since "Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero" for PS2 back in 2001 or so. This game is amazing! I love the newer graphics for 360. This game is strickly for people who understand and respect "JDM" cars and the fine art of street racing. I love this game and give it a 10/10. What makes it even better is that it's online! Somthing I wished the older versions for PS2 had. If you like realistic street racing games that requires time and pace, then this is the game for you. Again this game is for those who understand and respect "JDM" street racing. Or is just looking for some creative fun. Not for everyone.

This game is not like most other games from the Forza or Need For Speed franchises. If you somewhat understand the underground street racing and Wangan racing of Japan, then you'll enjoy this game. Most people who reviewed this game compared it to Forza or NFS, but it's a totally different concept. I really enjoy this game and it's what I've been looking for since moving from my PS2 to XBOX 360.

As expected, it is exactly the same as the previous titles of Tokyo Extreme Racer. I really like the refinement on the scenery and the graphics are much better compared to the previous titles. So all in all, I'll give it a thumbs up. Fellow game enthusiasts will like it. People that aren't into the series... not so much.

i love this game, its exactly what i was looking for in a racing game, and it brings back the old days of dreamcast and ps2

Game is nice since you can upgrade your vehicle as you go, choices of cars thar are affordable at the beginner level is more than what is normally available on other games. Game control is nice and the fact that literally every feature of the driving experience on the game is good.

Warning!!!! This is the worst racing game ever made. My favorite type of games are racing games, but this is by far the worst one ever. This would be a good racing game for a 3 year old just learning how to play video games. You just drive forward and there are walls on both sides of you so you cant veer off track. There are no crashes u just bounce off the walls with no damage. All you really have to do is hold down the gas button and bounce to the finish line. Its horrible!!!! And Ive never given a bad review on any game.

I love it because it is a ton of tun to play on xbox 360. With raceing online and the fun nice cars it is a blst to play.i would buy this agian any day.

This is an awesome remake of the old version Tokyo Extreme Racer 2 For the Sega Dreamcast. This is the only TRUE street racing game that ALL about the cars and speed. Now it has been remade with XBOX 360 graphics and XBOX LIVE multiplayer. Ubisoft (makers of prince of persia, rainbow six vegas 2 etc) took the reins with GENKI in the remake of this ultimate racing game. This **** blows need for speed out of the water. GET IT NOW. PLAY ME ONLINE.

people know nothing about a racing game. this entire series is amazing(the name thew me off).
all there is to be said, the original game of the series if you are not aware what your looking at, tokyo extreme racer, released on the sega dreamcast...is still cooler than any of these crap games i see refrenced to in comparison to this game.

if you have a clue and/or are familiar with the shitokou/kaido battle games you know you need this and will love it. the one plus for the general publics tastelessness is the price!

i was quite disappointed in this game. i just bought my 360 at the begging of the year and i needed a racing game so i went for this one. i was not pleased at all with the lack of car selection. the graphics were fine but they sure didn't make up for the lack of game options and how slow it went along. personaly i liked need for speed underground 2 better than this one. if i were you i would hold up for a while until 5/17 to get forza motor sports 2 with over 300 car options and you can auction your cars off to other players on live.

I got this for my 13 yr old son. I was hesitant because he is very critical of the racing games. He loves it! The 'Tuner' model of the game is top notch. The graphics are phenominal! The gameplay itself takes some getting used to compared to the other racing platformed games, but he likes it! Great value, great game...The only place I could find this one was on Ebay. Local shops did not carry it.

This game was fun with an all around good handling. The graphics are amazing and realistic. Now if only i could get a car like the ones in this game.

If you like Tokyo Xtreme Racer, then this is exactly what one would expect. Race one on one over and over again. Beat people to make your car super bad. Aquired taste for sure.

Did not like this game. Graphics are very low quality, ps2 or xbox kind. Far worse than other 360 games. The audio is even worse if that's possible!

Gameplay is nothing more than top-speed interstate driving. No city streets or track racing. That,in and of itself, is not necessarily a draw back for this game. My opinion that it does it poorly is.

It's too slow moving along in the game. Seems like you need to do alot of racing just to buy small upgrades. Granted I only played the game for about 5 hours, but it was just to boring to continue.

bought this game for my son. the game was received in good condition and in a good amount of time i am satisfied with it.

This is the funest and Grates Arcade game for the X Box 360... your Kids will love it! AA+++ Two Thumbs Up!!

I like this game very much but of course with every great game there are a few negatives. The only things I dont like too much about the game is the fact that there are only a couple types of races. Doesnt add too much variety for racing but still is fun. The other thing is that to win races, there are only a few times when the opponent slows down and you have to take advantage of those few chances but yet it is still fun and challenging. I love the options for customizing the car. Vertical doors, Undercar neons or LEDS, Real life body kits and spoilers (not made up ones by the game designers). Its a fun arcade kind of racing game that doesnt cost as much as the others. Overall I give this game a 7.8 out of 10.

Its not much diffrent. It's alot like NFS Undergound 2. But its fun just to kill time. Hopefully if they make another its closer to Forza.
