I have seen this movie at least 20 times over the years. I cry at the end every time. A movie everyone should see at least once.

This movie has got to be the greatest tear jerker of all the classics. It shows how selfish and self centered people can be until they face a great lost in their life and then realize that all the things they wanted to obtain in life was worthless without someone to share it with. What they really needed was right at their backdoor. I have this movie on VHS and wanted to add this to my DVD collection.

This is a great movie with a good message, if you are willing to look for it. We are all challenged by many things in our lives and sometimes it is not until we are faced with the loss that we see the value of what we had.

I bought the Imitation of Life DVD because I remember seeing the movie as a child remember crying at the very thought of a child being ashamed of the color of her mother's skin and all of the sadness that followed because of it. It is an excellent movie that any family could enjoy and a must have for any DVD Collection.

I had been telling my wife for some time now about a powerful movie called "Imitation of Life" but for whatever reason I never could find it in the stores. As a child I was drawn to the movie's lessons about staying true to who you are and the power of karma. When I was looking at DvDs to buy here on ebay, I came across the movie that had eluded me for the past two decades. I would recommend this wonderful movie to any family of all races and especially to the youths (teenagers).

I ordered this film to share with my friends and family. It tells a story about a mixed race young girl and her relationship with her mother. The film speaks to that period of our history when a mixed race individual had a difficult time in this country. Things have changed thanks to Tiger Woods, Nicole Richie & other celebrities of mixed race.

I saw both versions of this movie growing up and the story always stuck with me. The original was very good, but I loved the Lana Turner version!

I remember a long time ago watching this movie on TV, it was so moving. I never forgot it. This is one movie that I could watch over and over again, but they never show reruns of it, not unless it is on cable tv, which I do not have. I was so pleased to find it on DVD, now I own it and can watch it whenever I please. I love the oldies but goodies, and plan to purchase more movies that were my favorite back in the day.

THis was a good product . Good quality. It was cheap and located in my town. I needed by Christmas.

What I like about this movie is you have to love yourself before you can love someone else. This is one of my Mother's favorites films. Great Acting in this movie.
