I bought this book for my creative writing class and, though I have to read it, am really enjoying it. Burroway breaks down literature into easy-to-follow examples and steps to improve writing and learn why some literature is well-written. Even if one just wanted to read good stories, the book is full of them.

This book took too long to arrive although it made it to me within your acceptable period. I had to contact the seller, and she had not mailed it a week after I purchased it.Also, this book smells terribly of cigarette smoke. Sellers should definitely disclose when a book stinks. I could not concentrate when reading this book, so ultimately, I had to purchase another book locally.

This is a very clear, thorough book on the writer's craft, with excellent examples at every stage in various genre. I was very impressed with the straightforward explanations and examples that Burroway uses. One of the best books on writing I've seen. Just using it for the creative writing exercises throughout the book would make it well worth it.
