I'm Not Dead [PA] by Pink (CD, Apr-2006, LaFace USA)

Pink is a very talented artist with important things to say. She definitely shows her strong woman side in a couple of her songs, but is not afraid to show some of her vulnerability. I think she is definitely a positive role model for girls today. My favorite songs are: Track 2 "Who Knew," Track 3 "Long Way to Happy," Track 5 "Dear Mr. President," Track 9 "U + UR Hand," and Track 10 "Runaway."

Everyone should definitely give this CD a chance.

I really liked this CD. I heard one of her songs on Kids Choice awards and thought it was very impowering for girls. After receiving and listening to the whole CD I like most of her songs.

THE BEST! I am 58 and I love this performer! Her musical talent exudes youth and strength. Can't say enough...this is my second CD as I wore the other one out! My 30 year old daughter is also crazy about this CD and bought one herself.

A great variety, from tough to harmonizing with her father in a folk song, P!NK continues to bring talent to the table. Her sizzling voice and bad azz lyrics bring the perfect balance. Not a cd for kids unless there is a censored version...if so, I'd like to find it. My kids love this cd, but the language is tough for the little ones, because they want to sing along.

Love the artist and the songs. PINK is great with lyrics and her energy is addictive. I bought the cd because I really like the artist and wanted to hear the entire album and get it for a good deal!

I like most of the songs on the CD. I did find the song "Stupid Girls" incredibly hypocrytical. Like Pink doesn't wear designer clothing and talk on her cell phone. C'mon!

powerful lyrics that give women and young girls a sense of self and strenght. Her vocal abilities are downright soulful. I'm a 53 year old women that has been a pink fan since her first album. My ipod is now complete with this purchase. Her Funhouse release is fantastic with song after song.

Although it is not a bad effort, I expected more from this album. There were only 1-2 songs (that I've heard on the radio) that I liked.

I actually got this cd for my wife and she absolutely loves it. Awesome shipping time after the sale. Everything went perfect!!! Would definitely buy from this seller again.

I love Pink's anger and her values. She's thoughtful about politics and feminism. She's powerful and dramatic but I can't listen to her when I'm tired. I'm not her real audience (I'm a female over 50). If I were younger I think she'd be my favorite. AB

I bought this CD because I just couldn't get "Who Knew" out of my head. I loved Pink when she first came out and listened to her first hit CD non-stop. When she released "Mizundastood", I rushed out and bought it without even hearing it first. Big mistake. I forced myself to listen to it only a handful of times and finally just chalked it up as a loss. Such a disappointment. However, this CD certainly made up for the money waisted on my previous purchase! I think Pink really opens herself up and lets go with this one. Even if you can't relate directly to what she's singing about, she certainly makes you feel as though you've been there too.
As I said, I bought this for the song "Who Knew" because it reminded me so much of a past relationship I'd had and how I feel about it now. Almost everyone has had that one person who they really thought WOULD be there forever and one day you realize, like everyone tried to tell you, that they won't be. Still, you hang onto that memory & tuck it away along with a little piece of your heart just in case ....
Now that I've had the chance to listen to the whole CD, it totally rocks!!! It's ALL attitude with major emphasis on being your own strong, independent woman- regardless of what society thinks!! Of course, I have to give props to "stupid girls", but the one that really cracked me up was "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)".... Reminds me of the kind of song you just HAVE to crank up in when you're alone in the car (or the shower- LOL!)

I LOVE THE CD, I AM REALLY NOT A PINK FAN BUT I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED THIS ONE! LOTS SONGS YOU CAN RELATE TO.

Pink has shown improvement as an artist with every album, especially this one. She is hyper-intelligent and intuitive with her lyrics.
The tracks on this are her best ever. Listen to it all the way through....you will find gems that have not made it on the radio...yet!

She Rocks!!! Tough, Strong and a girl? go kick some more butt Pink. I had overheard my daughter singing U and UR hand. I actually videotaped her on my phone. I love it.

I remember reading an article when Pink was recalling the mini-disaster that was Try This, and how she knew she was spitting out really lackluster songs (save for Catch Me When I'm Sleeping). Pink has really made up for that by releasing I'm Not Dead. Each and every song has Pink's personality all over it, and if you like it, you won't be disappointed. From Pink's radio-driven Stupid Girls, where she attacks our society and its adjoined stupidity, to the thoughtful, convicting "Dear Mr. President", which is deep enough to make the strongest Republican melt. I'm glad that Pink wrote that song and didn't portray herself as an "in-your-face know-it-all". But she is very educated, and it comes through in an honest attempt to put all the jokes and the sneering aside and really face the issues that plague our country.

Through listening to the latter song, as well as "Conversations with My 13 Year Old Self", "Runaway", "The One That Got Away" and "Long Way to Happy", Pink's songwriting chops have obviously gotten stronger, and their muscles are flexed throughout the CD. One cannot help but stop and rewind certain phrases - her honesty leaves her vulnerable, but she has put herself and her opinions out there on the table, and it's up to the listener to take it or leave it. But it's not debatable that Pink has bared her soul on this record.

It's been a long time since the industry has really come face-to-face with such a poignant, fun, thought-provoking album. Classic? It's way too early to tell, but it definitely has the makeup to be one.

I bought Pink's CD titled I'm Not Dead approximately 3 weeks ago. I haven't stopped listening to it since I received it. It does include some profanity, so it may not be for those with sensitive ears. But, I think Pink did a very good job getting her point across in all her songs on this CD. Each song has its own message, and a very good one at that. Pink's song "You and Your Hand" started playing on the radio, which inspired me to purchase the CD without having heard the other songs. I must say that I'm very impressed, as are all of my friends who have listened to it as well.

The product was paid for but I never recieved it. I contacted the seller on 3 separate occasions through his/her personal email and via ebay communication and recieved no response. I cannot comment on the product because I never got an opportunity to see it. Hopefully between myself, the seller, and ebay, this problem will resolve itself before my next purchase. I would not recommend this seller to anyone nor will I ever be making another purchase from him/her.

I totally love this CD, it is one of Pink's best so far. The shipping was far so i did not have to wait long and the CD it's self is in almost perfect condition. Great CD!!
