Movie Description
Based on Judith Krantz's bestseller, I'LL TAKE MANHATTAN follows Maxi Amberville (Valerie Bertinelli from One Day At A Time) from three-time divorcee to dynamic businesswoman. Set in New York's pressure cooker world of magazine publishing, Maxi finds that she must abandon her life of wealthy leisure to secure her father's wealth and family business when her mother decides to wed the brother of her dead husband. The brother only wishes to sell the magazine empire to destroy his brother's name, but Maxi decides to take him on in the name of honor and revenge. Among the actors in this production are numerous people who would later acclaim stardom such as Julianne Moore, Barry Bostwick, Timothy Daly, and Jane Kaczmarek.
