There a quite a few songs in this movies. And if you don't like this kind of old fashioned songs, it's a bit much. Doris Day is great as ever. Danny Thomas I had never heard of before I watched this film, but he was not bad at all, playing Doris' husband.

Lovely old romance and musical, thoroughly enjoyed it. The times when music was lyrical and melodious. Even though this is a black and white film, it appeared colourful and full of optimism and life.
The music of this era is of our parents and grandparents time, where they also went through hard times and the great depression of the thirties.
I believe this can make us realise that even though we go through hard, difficult times, music can help to encourage us and drive us forward.
Music like this can provide an escape from all the realities of every day life and to cope, because there is a silver lining eventually if one just looks for it

I love Doris DayLove Doris Day and just about all her movies. Good wholesome fun and entertainment. Great for the entire family.
