If You Want to Walk on Water, You'Ve Got to Get Out of the Boat by John Ortberg (2001)

I've read this book twice now...once independently and once as part of a church-wide Lenten study. It's well worth reading more than once, and it's a great book for small groups to read and discuss. Even better when your pastor's weekly message coincides with the chapters studied during the week! A big thanks to John Ortberg, for hearing and answering God's call to write this book!

This is a good book for small group study and discussion. It brings up very thought provoking topics and uses examples to help examine our need to be bold in our effort to expand God's kingdom.

This book is an incredibly insightful journey into our desire to "Live life to it's fullest" and making a difference in our own world. I highly recommend it and believe it can change your way of thinking and living. John Ortberg is a great communicator and the book is easy reading, with humor and honesty. It's not a book that talks down to you, but one that is easily related to. I've bought several copies to give to friends and family...
