CLEVER and funny .....Pretty nieve Chantal Stacy (Sandra Dee) has men falling all over to propose to her~ but finds she is attracted to PLAYBOY photographer Eugene Wright (Bobby Daren her real life husband)...how can she make HIM propose and think it is HIS idea? why ignore him~ let him know it is NOt what is is expecting of him~ next thing they are married~

now how do you keep him "attentive?' ....Chantal seeks the advice of her happily married french mother who give her a book about DOG training~WHAT? treat HIM like a dog and he will adore you~ "praise him" when he does good things....."give him treats" when he is willing and eager to please you~ ..."show him how happy YOUR DOG/HUSBAND" CAN BE WHEN PROPERLY "TRAINED"....

unexpectedly Eugene is happy and madly in love with HIS wife who treats him like a dog...he just does not know it~ beyond funny and cute~ lovely Sandra Dee is cute and so totally serious in her doggie plans~ ADD Bobby Daren so easy to house break~ but Eugene finds out and is one ANGRY dog...I mean Man.....so now Eugene has to have some "fun" at HER expense~ ....

to make HIM forget he is MAD at her Chantal ....for treating HIM like a dog~ LOL....Chantal again gets some "advice"from her mother MAKE HIM JEALOUS~

Though an older movie - it holds true - even got hubby intrigued though it would traditionally a chick flick.

This comedy is true and wonderful.

It's a cute story about how to train a man like a pet dog to get him to worship you. It's just a fun movie and who can say no to Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin?

It's a classic, funny and entertaining and clean movie. Bobby Darrin and Sandra Dee and totally classic and talented. How could you not like this movie. I recommend it highly to couples and families.

I think this movie reminds that people treat their dogs better than their spouse. If one stops & thinks in many cases it’s true. But dogs are always loyal they never cheat. But it is cute & it does remind us to put an extra effort in our relationships.
They are very funny together. They also have a drawing effect I think in what ever movie this husband & wife team has. As for Stephanie Powers she was great as the other woman. Dads beware of what you tell your daughters. This poor girl got engaged to several men at one time because her father wanted her marry so he could get some sleep.
With the sending herself flowers WITH the cost of loosing a new coat, the hang up phone calls, Her mom telling her to treat him like a dog than seeing her dad as a dog. You will keep laughing. You won’t be disappointed. Even the ending is cut. I want to get all the movies those two have made together. even the one about the maid.

I love this women's movie. It is so refreshing to see a good clean movie. This gives great incites for the newlyweds.

I saw this movie when it first came out and overall it was entertaining. These many years later the mother in the film irritated me beyond words for it seemed all the woman had on her mind was sex. Yes, I know she's French but come on! She never acted like a mom or homemaker but self-appointed sex goddess and it grew so tiresome.

I've always loved Sandra Dee, a stunning beauty and superb actress and her hubby Bobby Darin. I've come to appreciate his music even more today, especially the live shows. Anyhow, his acting was right on the money and it was fun to see them together. "That Funny Feeling" is their best full-length movie in my opinion and I highly recommend it. Of course, "Come September" has a special place in my heart for that was their first time acting together. It's a real joy to see these two on the screen.

Skip this movie and enjoy the rest.

I had a vague memory of this movie from my childhood. As I was scanning the old movies on ebay (my favority genre)the title caught my attention. After reading the discription I had to order it. I recieved the movie within 3 days, in perfect condition, and have been enjoying ever since.

Wanted to review old fashion laws of the sexes. unfortunately there wasn't enough verbalizing of how and why These laws work.
But many subtle messages of how we ourselfs need to change
in order to change others cute storey.

I enjoy watching old movies and haven't seen this movie on TV in many years. Full of clean humor and fun to watch. Great movie.

I bought this movie because I am a big fan of Bobby Darin. When I saw it was on Ebay, thats all it took. Now I have one of my mostest favorite movies. sigh

I first saw this movie years ago while channel surfing, it caught my interest so I watched ther balance of the movie. I love it, but I hadn't caught it from the beginning nor had I recorded it.

Another comedy film from Bobby Darin and Sandra Dee, If A Man Answers is the story of two young lovers, Eugene (Bobby Darin), an New Yorker, and Chantelle (Sandra Dee), a Bostonian. Chantelle, the product of an American father (John Lund) and a French mother (Micheline Presle). Eugene, a photographer by profession, proposes employment for Chantelle as model, but once Chantelle marries Eugene, he decides that she has no business working as a model for him. Chantelle's mother discreetly gives advice to Chantelle on how to train Eugene as a husband, only to later discover it is Chantelle who has been training to be a wife to Eugene. Eugene decides to get even with her and the ending has some very funny results. A must see for Bobby and Sandra fans. Look for Cesar Romero in the role as Eugene's father in the film.

Being a sandra dee and bobby darin fan I loved it.I love all their movies and I am happy to own it.I watch it with my grand daughter.now she is learning to like these classic movies.thank you joanne
